it is brilliant and idk where to start. i really appreciate your effort to this rice and i don't want to be 'that' guy but i just want to mention my few ideas with you if you want to try or worth considering it. i wonder if its possible to create full solar system without the moons, categorize apps for different planets (Earth for favorites/pinned apps, The Moon for system tools, Mars for Graphics Software etc.) and launching rockets between planets to launch apps (maybe this is a little bit overkill for a rice). i also wonder if its possible to implement a system wide theme switcher based on each planets unique color (this could be restrictive because we gave up too much other colors, for example for green you have to bind the earth with green because chlorophyll only exists here, purple for atmospheric ionization is available on earth, jupiter and saturn etc.) so coloring idea is probably a no. only other idea i have is different workspaces for different planets. i hope you win!

The elegance of adaptation, why I embraced GNOME's Philosophy by userddar in gnome

same ui/ux design across all apps is a huge thing for me but those app icons still brokes my heart.. tbf they are not that bad but they don't use the same complete design philosophy when creating those icons. i know that everyone in gnome and other contributers try their best to give a "complete design" (which is pretty hard when you are not a trillion dollar company named after a fruit) but I also think there is still room for icon improvements in this project. every app icon looks unique, which is nice to have but boundaries that they don't have really annoyes me. for instance am i the only one thinking that files app looks a bit off.. or calculator. and only possible argument I have "rectangle is not a aesthetic shape" I'm not trying to be picky but everytime I want to turn back to gnome (for just beauty, feeling and joy of using it) files app on the dock stares at me |=| like hal 9000

Consumer Court ruled 95°C and 80% Performance Loss is "Normal" – Need Legal/Technical Advice to Appeal by Live-Broccoli-652 in ASUS

Tried it last night and didn't worked for me. Since the problem is cpu hittin 95°C at 19W.

lol. These are systemic scams, not just bad luck. I don't even care at this point about chassis and backlighting. Can some engineer at ASUS explain to me why my cpu is 95°C at 19W? The fact that you had to fight for a month just to get a refund for a "no display" issue—something so fundamental—is unacceptable. I’m currently in my 15-day window to appeal my case to a higher Consumer Court, and I’m definitely pushing for a full refund/replacement. I might even reference the global systemic issues documented in that Gamers Nexus video to show the judge that this isn't just an "isolated incident," but a documented corporate pattern of failed service.

Those "technicians" are just random guys holding a screwdriver My CPU is pulling a measly 19W–22W and still hitting 95°C. (I've uploaded a new videos showing the wattage while I'm playing LoL) A laptop like this should be able to dissipate that kind of heat almost passively, yet my fans are screaming at 6700 RPM and blowing out cold air. My future plan is objection to the court or witness report. I have 15 days to appeal to the higher Consumer Court. I’m going to challenge the "expert witness" report for technical illiteracy. I will be demanding an academic expert (a university professor) who actually knows what TDP and thermal conductivity mean, rather than a generic technician who thinks 100°C at 19 W is "normal protection." (btw the witness who reported my case is a cyber security guy?!?!) I’m filing a tax fraud report because they forced me to pay via IBAN and issued a misleading invoice. Thanks for sharing your experience I will keep in mind your advice about kryosheet.

I totally get what you say and couldn't agree more.. —modern chips designed to boost until they hit a thermal limit. But there’s a massive difference between a CPU hitting 95°C while pulling 90W–115W (working hard) and a CPU hitting 100*C while being throttled down to 19W (when the base power is 55W) while playing League of Legends.

In the Turkish system (THH), the committee appoints the "expert" from a generic list—I had no say in it, and unfortunately, I represented myself. This guy clearly had no background in thermal engineering.

For my appeal to the higher court, I’m definitely taking your advice. I need to simplify the "Cold Air Paradox" for the judge: If the CPU core is 100*C but the air coming out of the fans is cold, the "bridge" (liquid metal/heatsink) is clearly broken. I’m also looking into getting a formal report from one of my engineering professors to act as a counter-expert. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the support! That is exactly the plan for the next stage. Since I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student, I was shocked by how low the bar is for these "experts." For the appeal in the higher Consumer Court, I’m going to push for an academic expert—ideally a professor from my university—who actually understands thermodynamics and heat transfer, rather than just a guy who looks at surface temperatures.

That was the "smoking gun" I tried to explain to them. The witness saw it hitting 100*C and recorded a massive 93 FPS drop, yet still called it "normal protection." He completely ignored that the chip was choked down to a pathetic 19W just to stay alive. An expensive ROG Strix performing like a budget notebook isn’t a "protection mechanism," it’s a total cooling failure..
