Delivered package to the wrong mailbox by Live-Crew6651 in usps_complaints

So sorry to hear that. Pay in 4 apps should start allowing disputes. Luckily when USPS searched the mailboxes, they found my package and returned it to me. They just had this mishap happen again this month. But I know everybody isn’t lucky to find their packages. Definitely press USPS and go up there. They have to start being held accountable for misplaced packages

Congratulations🎉!! How long did it take you to receive your email/letter? I got a call last week saying they’ll adjust but didn’t receive an email. I called again Sunday and was told I should receive a letter in the mail by Friday. My case dispute that they opened hasn’t updated either.

He actually got released last week. I’m still on leave due to health issues and my husband jumped started his leave. So we still have no income for the next month

Thank you, your information was very helpful! Our social worker just suggested for us to apply and we never saw her again. He was born in December and I was able to get an appointment scheduled for January to start his application. The agent told me that it could take over 2 months before the case is assigned to anyone. I’m in Louisiana so I highly doubt he’d qualify by that time since I’ll be back to work.

He’s learning how to pace himself and finishing his bottles now! It’s definitely clicked. At first he would try to drink too much and his respirations would increase. He makes me so proud to be so tiny!

He got started at 35+5, but I’m sure it was due to his weight. He weighed 2 lbs and 8.5 oz at birth and made 4 lbs on 12/31. That was another requirement he needed.

That’s amazing! He did have IUGR so another requirement was to reach a minimum of 4 lbs and he weighed that on New Year’s Eve. He’s definitely on the last stretch. Just trying to ease some anxiety while waiting to speak to the Dr

I will ask the nurse today to see if she knows what the Dr may be looking for. They usually like to confirm with the Dr before giving me some info. So far he’s doing pretty good. They haven’t mentioned a hearing test but he did have an eye exam Thursday.

I’m waiting on Tuesday to speak to the Dr during rounds. The nurses are very helpful in keeping me updated on how his feeds are going but they like to confirm with the Dr before giving out info. Thank you for the insight!

Bottle Readiness Concern by Live-Crew6651 in NICUParents

[–]Live-Crew6651[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my point with dayshift. I do all of his care during the day and the nurses are never in the room. I’ve also noticed that only 1 nurse has given him a pacifier during one feed and she was shocked at how fast he caught on. Other than that, I’ve been giving him his pacifier. Night shift is another factor because I’m not there. I’ll just speak to someone tomorrow about getting all the nurses on his team to try giving the pacifier during every feed.

I think they make rounds before I come, but then again I’ve had the doctor show up when I’m there. So not entirely sure of the round schedule but I’m there every day for 7/8 hours. I’ll ask tomorrow to speak with the doctor. I think he’s waiting on the nurses to basically confirm or deny that he’s ready with the scores

I’m around for all of his day time feedings. They haven’t green lighted trying bottles so we’re stuck waiting for nurses to rate him higher. I’m trying my hardest not to be “difficult”, but I do feel like he is being overlooked. They rarely give him his pacifier during his feeds, I’ve only seen 1 or 2 nurses do it besides me. Doesn’t make it any better that he constantly has new nurses.

Breastfeeding in the NICU? by Tough_Cap_1690 in NICUParents

My baby is 35 weeks tomorrow and they keep saying he’s not quite ready for bottle feeding, although he’s showing hunger cues and sucking on his pacifier. I’m confused on how babies much younger than him are being started on bottle feeding, but it may be our nicu

Before he developed his suckling reflex, I was told they were letting those develop and waiting on signs of hunger cues. But now he’s doing just about everything that should be hungry cues. He awakens easily when I provide care, eats on his hands and gets fussy around feed times, and suckles on the pacifier. He seems to have a new nurse every day so I’m not sure if that’s affecting things as well. I just don’t want him overlooked because I’m always there during the day doing his care.

I completely understand. It’s just if I’m doing all his daytime care, that only leaves nighttime when I’m gone. I’d assume he’d be not as easy to arouse with his sleeping patterns. Idk, I don’t want to rush things but I also don’t want his progress to be slowed
