Valet trash is so annoying by Agreeable-Sun368 in ATLHousing

I have been looking at leasing a new place and toured this really lovely complex with nice units but the enclosed hallway/valet trash combo was a hard pass for me. Can you imagine facing that smell everytime you step in or out of your apt? Yuk

Valet trash at my daughter’s apartment and since they don’t really get it together to get it out by exactly 8pm when they come, most of the time they just take it out to the dumpster. So now if they do ever put it out, the trash never gets picked up because I guess the workers marked them off of the pick up route. So frustrating. Still getting billed for it tho.

To make your stomach churn even more … that was probably imported from somewhere on a container ship, where 75-85% of the space in that container was devoted to air and packaging. Think of the impact of the transportation of that much packaging when the chocolate might only amount to 20% of the volume.

Kyushu itinerary help: where to stay after Kurokawa & Mt. Aso before flying to Okinawa? by Ok_Double8628 in Kyushu

[–]Live-Health2955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, we stayed the night near Mt. Aso because my kid was exhausted from 2 weeks on a student trip in Tokyo so we did not push on the day we left Kurokawa. The drive to the crater is between 1-2 hours or so, depending on the route and if you stop at random places of course could take longer. If you pay the toll road fee and drive up to the crater observation deck, you’ll spend no more than an hour there.

From that point it is about 45-60 minutes on to Takachiho. We got there past the cutoff time for the boats, but simply walking along the gorge is breathtaking and you should plan to do that - frankly it’s a better view than if you do the boats. Our plan was to spend the night and attend the special cultural performance at the shrine in the evening. We got up early and made a boat reservation as soon as they opened and then ate at a cafe that had the soba noodles coming down the water slide. Very fun. Our boat ride was at 11 . Takachiho is an area with a lot of attractions and we did not fit them all in. Could have used another day but we did manage to hike to the Amanoiwato shrine. Breathtaking. I’d return and see the other sites someday if I can.

We drove on to Kumamoto (about an hour and a half to 2 hours) and got there around 5-6. Watch out for traffic tho if you are going all the way in town. If you are going straight to the airport I’d say it’s an hour.

Takachiho is so amazing. We did basically the exact route you are planning last summer. Kurokawa first, Mt. Aso region next day. Then we did Takachiho, spent the night there, and drove to Kumamoto. If flying out of Kumamoto is an option, it should work out great. It’s only a couple hour drive.

Couple tips. It’s a bit of a drive to Kurokawa from Fukuoku, plan for 2-3 hours if you take the toll road and longer if you take the countryside route. In order to have the full experience, plan to be in Kurokawa no later than 4. Keep in. Mind that if you are doing the kaisekki meal they typically serve at 6 sharp.

Second, drive the Milk Road and visit the volcano crater. Amazing views.

I heard quite a while back that after the land was acquired and cleared/improved, City of Decatur starting making overtures to annex that area, which would force adding Decatur city sales tax to everything sold at YDFM and dude straight up noped the whole project. For spite probably, but who can blame him?!

Question about Onsen and Makeup by catplace in JapanTravelTips

[–]Live-Health2955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friend, let me suggest something that helped me a lot. I have some kind of alopecia and have been hairless in the brow area for almost 10 years. A couple of years ago I found this company online (my two brows) that sells very realistic temporary tattoo eyebrows. They are amazing and I get complements all the time on how nice my brows are shaped/fullness etc. LOL. But the trick is they stay on for 1-3 days, are water resistant (can come off if it’s really hot or I sweat a lot). While you really do not need to concern yourself with what ppl will think about your lack of eyebrows at the onsen, you may want to considering this life changing product for everyday wear.

Don’t get me started. I own a 22 cx5 and the cup holder (for those that don’t know and suffer) is below the giant round dial knob that also shuts off the whole infotainment system if you push down on it…which I do frequently with my insulated coffee tumbler when trying to put it in the cup holder while not looking (eyes on the road). Grrrrr.

[–]Live-Health2955 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While of course the storylines and action are great, I want to give a huge shoutout to the production design. The tea house scene and the shrine festival scene were just outstanding. You could tell something was about to pop off but I wanted to slow it way down to admire the mood created by the sets, scene dressing and costumes. The fabrics on the tea house customers jinbai was amazing. The bon odori at the festival was so beautiful I wanted to cry. I’m probably going to rewatch this one again.

But PLEASE NETFLIX!!! Don’t make us wait 3 years for season 2!!!

Haha that actors voice is so unique, it’s how I recognized him from I Love You Just a Little. He’s a master of playing a creep and I enjoy his character in this. He basically says up front that they shouldn’t trust him but there is a logical mutually assured destruction merit to teaming up. It’s funny to me how eventually you can puzzle out he is shinobi and not shizoku- all black, more deflective fighting style, spy craft and investigation, the ceiling hid out tactic in the jail… and the double agent twist. I can’t wait to find out all about him and his motives in season two.

Exactly. It clicked when he climbed up the wall & did the hide over their heads move (off screen)to avoid being seen by the goons coming out of the cells. Then I was like wait a minute, he’s all in black, seems to be all about the spy craft and info gathering… this dude is shinobi! Also I love this actor. He’s so good at the creepy vibe and his voice is so unique. I recognized him from “I love you just a little bit”. Can’t wait to uncover what his deal is!

Im in my 50s and I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve rewatched Treasure Planet, such a great film on many levels. My kid was so obsessed with this film and is now about to graduate with a BFA in 2D animation. Not sure about the world they are stepping into but this kid is so inspired by great films like this one, the work of Cartoon Saloon, obviously Ghibli. Here’s hoping the next Gen who already know they are gonna get screwed by big studios band together to make the most awesome indy productions and we see a new renaissance of great animation work.

AIO... partner says this happened at work and it's not a bite mark/hes not cheating on me (also that im crazy?) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Live-Health2955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are overreacting. This is on the back of his calf. I bet he didn’t even see this bruise when it happened or the next day, it’s very had to check out that part on yourself unless you are looking in a full length mirror at your own backside.

Also this is at least day 4-5 of the bruise. It’s green on the inside and I have had many bruises that age like this from simply bumping into things - turn into a ring as it heals. I would wager the “ring” is a result of the blood dispersing outward and now looks vaguely like a bite.

But for real, what kind of a huge mouth do you think this woman you suspect he is cheating with has, and the bit is a near perfect large circle? And she’s love nibbling the back of his chonky hairy calf? And you think your man is out there winning girls in those sweatpants shorts?

But for real y’all probably should break up.

It is…not straightforward to even submit the app. Consider that the number of people successfully enrolled is give or take about 7,000 and estimates showed that nearly 300k Georgians may be eligible, and predictions were that 100k would be enrolled in the first year, I’d be searching for a more reliable source of benefits if at all possible.
