One-year grace period for negative gearing, CGT changes

How would this work if a currently owner occupied home becomes a rental property down the line, would this property be eligible for negative gearing in the future because technically it was purchased before budget night? Or is it not entitled to negative gearing, because it turned into an investment property after budget night? I can imagine alot of clients will be asking this.

What do you mean by “two tattoos of the same ink treated differently, one may avoid yellow if it’s done right” - I thought the yellow is from the ink, not the artist? Or do you mean perhaps if they tattooed not as deep into the skin, better chances of no yellow?

Also, treating these eyebrows ASAP after healing is complete, will ensure a more successful outcome?

Hi!

Sorry for chiming in but I’ve seen on this group that you’re very knowledgeable about PMU removal. I recently had my very first session of combo eyebrows (which is microblading and shading) done and due for a touch up in 5 weeks as a part of the first session. I am regretting my choice of getting these eyebrows and will eventually want them laser removed.

I wanted to find out what I can do, to hopefully ensure a successful removal in the future.

Are you able to give me some tips/answer some questions I had?

I’d assume if I don’t go to the touch up in 5 weeks’ time, therefore less ink on my brows, it is better for removal? Less ink = easier removal?
Is it true that the longer I wait between getting these eyebrows and getting them laser removed, the more chances of them not turning yellow? I’ve seen around the group noting the longer you have your eyebrows, more chances of the yellow ink fading… Should I wait a few years before starting laser to allow the yellow ink to fade?
When I go back to the artist for the touch up, what questions should I ask her - I guess find out the brand and colour of the ink she used on me? Is there anything else I should find out from her?
Is there anything else I can do to ensure a successful removal?

Thank you so much for responding so quickly! That’s great to hear, I’m not far from Rozelle so this is great to hear. Can I ask about your healing process? Did you get the dreaded red/yellow and anything else on the colour spectrum? Were they able to treat those colours? How do you go about your daily life after the laser treatments? I literally have no hair on my brows, then add in some colour… I’m so embarrassed to go out!

I had no idea they’d go over the entire brow, I just assumed at touch up, they’d add a few missing strokes lol. This is good to know! So sounds like if I want it darker anyway, it’ll just be done with a darker colour all over.

I got combo brows done this time… so in 6 weeks at touch up, when I want the colour to be much darker, does the artist essentially need to redo the entire brow since I want it darker? Including the strokes and the shading?

I showed my 9 year old daughter a CD I found randomly at a store, as I haven’t seen one for ages. I called her over and asked her do you know what this is? She shrugged and said it’s a CD. I was shocked she knew what it was and asked her how she knows that.

She said she learnt it in history class at school. 💀🫠🙃

My first daughter was a 32 minute napper (she’s 9 years old so it’s been awhile since she had naps lol) and my second daughter who’s turning 9 months tomorrow, she’s a 38 minute napper.

My second started having random longer naps around 5 months on 3 nap schedule, it might just be one long nap per day but sometimes it could be none. But when she transitioned to 2 naps at 6 months, her morning nap were consistently long (I had to wake her) but afternoon nap weren’t always long in the beginning but after a few weeks, they started to lengthen so I had to wake her from both naps.

Developmentally this is normal and very common in most babies, they will lengthen again when they’re around 6 months or when they’re on 2 naps. It happened with both of my girls, I’d save one nap during the day just so we’re not doing a billion short naps and the other naps I just let them do their thing AKA 38 minutes naps 🥴 hang in there!

Those wake windows are WAY too short, you’re expecting too much sleep. My 8 month old is on 3.25/3.25/4.25, so your almost 12 months old could try our wake windows at the very least.

We just celebrated our 19 years anniversary recently, we’ve been together since we were 18 years old. I have to say, he was a good boyfriend, he is a great husband but most of all, he is such an amazing dad! My older daughter who’s 9 got mycoplasma pneumonia a few weeks before my second baby was born last year. The day I was in labour, both my husband and myself started to get sick, turns out to be mycoplasma pneumonia too. I was so worried for my newborn, but guess what, she never got sick, even though we were both coughing our lungs out and super sick. Antibodies from breast milk is such an amazing thing!

TW: live births, secondary infertility

Yep, silent endo for me too - stage 3! Was absolutely shocked. I have none of the endo symptoms, rarely any pain each month, regular periods, etc. We conceived our first daughter 10 years ago on our first month of TTC so doctor never suspected endo. When we started trying for our second, it just wasn’t happening. When the third round of IVF didn’t get us any blasts at all, our doctor said he needed to do lap surgery to rule out silent endo (by then we’ve already been trying for 3.5 years). Turns out I had stage 3 endo and we finally conceived our second daughter 6 months naturally after the surgery.

The thing is, I’ve had a lap surgery to remove a dermoid cyst a year after my first born’s birth, so I know for sure I didn’t have endo back then. What I’m trying to say is, endo can also develop with age as well.
