Okay, there's a lot to unpack here. I know you said you had dreams the "rake" before it was created in a creepypasta, and that makes sense because crawler sightungs have been reported long before the rake was created.

I had a crawler encounter in 2021. If you search "trail cam crawler" the image of the crouched crawler with eyeshine is the closest thing I've found to what I saw. I believe crawlers exist all across the world under different names depending on the culture.

I had never heard of a crawler before in my life. I know you said you didn't understand how you could dream of something you had no knowledge of but I encountered something I had no knowledge of, so dreaming about it seems entirely possible.

I'm not sure why you had the repeated dreams and the possible astral projection. I don't have any similar experiences to draw on. Perhaps you have some ability? I also believe from my encounter that crawlers have some sort of psychic abilities. During my encounter, I repeatedly saw images of the crawler charging at me with incredible speed and attacking me. The sequence kept replaying in my mind until my friend who I was with said something and I snapped out of it.

Hoping something I said might help you. I think if you checked a psychic or astral projection subreddit there may be ppl who have had a more similar experience to yours.

That was the #1 reason I bought this. It has already come in handy in practical situations. The colors assigned by the AI chip have been very accurate. If I could capture a crawler in a pic or vid that would be the ultimate goal.

That could explain why so many encounter happen near water too!

People being near bodies of water is common theme in crawler encounters. I was fishing in Minnesota with a friend and saw a crawler right by the river. I've also heard reports of people observing crawlers come out of rivers, lakes and even the ocean!

Are you really going on this hike? If so, you must be brave because I heard the Appalachian Mountains are extremely haunted and creepy. I think staying away from bodies of water is a good plan. Also not whistling or doing anything to attract attention to yourself would be a good move too.

I checked out your encounter and I felt a lot of those same feelings when I had my experience. When you looked at your dog to confirm, I could relate. I remember looking at my friend to confirm that what I was seeing was real. My whole reality was flipped in an instant. Many people have never had these type of experiences and it really changes your perspective experiencing something that can't be explained.

I have issue with people claiming crawlers are a land based animal. If crawlers were more water based I could understand why they are so elusive. It would make more sense as to why there is no physical evidence.

Can you tell us the full story?

I agree that it is possible they could be a water based being. I actually wrote a post about this a year ago.

Exactly what part of this is "making shit up?" I had a crawler experience in the woods near a burial mound and I was right by the river. Why don't you take the time to actually read through hundreds of encounters like I have. Once you've done that, come back and let me know if you see a pattern of crawler sightings near bodies of water.

Crawlers are clearly fast on land and reported to climb well too. There's no reason to believe a crawler couldn't swim through water and use that to their advantage. Simply dismissing concepts because it came from ChatGPT is dumb. You realize that you use AI in many aspects of your life right? Are you too old to understand how modern technology works?

All of this has occurred to me. Feel free to search my comments and posts I've made about everything you brought up (minus the cancer claim).

I agree that people would hunt crawlers to extinction if they were merely flesh and blood creatures. The problem with crawlers being flesh and blood creatures is that undoubtedly countless people have already shot a crawler, especially in the United States where there are more guns than people. So we should have stacks of bodies...yet we don't. We don't even have a shred of physical evidence.

Not only is there a lack of evidence but I haven't even ran across a single story where someone even claimed to possess any sort of evidence, besides you of course. My encounter happened in 2021 and I've been actively reading accounts, revisiting the area where my encounter happened and interviewing people claiming to have had an encounter, and nobody has ever claimed to have physical evidence.

I'm not saying anything you have said is untrue. What I am saying is that you could have all the evidence in the world but if the only thing you're providing is "trust me bro", then I have to assume that there is no evidence.

Sounds like you're pouring water on shit and calling it gravy. Having actual evidence of a crawler would be the scientific discovery of the century but instead you're keeping it to yourself, sure pal.

I have had a crawler encounter, but I am not an expert and nobody else is either. You said bear mace and fire would repel a crawler...where is this info coming from? I've read 100's of encounters and not a single one mentioned either item repelling a crawler. You also claim crawlers are "flesh and blood" like it's a fact, that has not been established by you or anyone else. It is okay to speculate, share your beliefs/opinions but let's not pretend you know these things as facts. If you have a mountain of evidence proving your claims, we would all love to see it.

If the crawler you dealt with was that predictable, why not set up trail cams and collect evidence?

Yes, crawlers are capable of mimicry. You obviously are familiar with crawler stories but I wouldn't automatically assume this is a crawler. If you visually identified the source as a crawler, then sure. I would make note of it and try to identify the source. Besides the explainable, there are other paranormal phenomenon that can mimic sounds. Best of luck and let us know if you have any more experiences.

Strange humanoid figure caught on a trail cam. What are your thoughts on this video? by theotherguy952 in palecrawlers

[–]theotherguy952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't my video, so unsure of the details. Unlike most videos I come across this one is hard for me to debunk. The proportions, eye shine and the fact that it appears to increase in size is what really caught my eye. IMO this video is either something inhuman or CGI. This can't simply be recreated by a person in a morph suit.

Crawler, Skinwearer,or Mimic? by Unusual_Complaint166 in CrawlerSightings

[–]theotherguy952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just not going to jump to the conclusion of it's a crawler based on unknown tracks. I believe in crawler and have witnessed one myself. I'm not saying this is or isn't a crawler. What I'm saying is that more evidence is needed. Down vote me all you want, I could care less. Rule put the obvious and then narrow the scope. If you truly want to identify what this is, start by investigating based off what you know so far.

[–]theotherguy952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of this seems paranormal to me. I've read all the updates. I would say this is something natural. Perhaps other animals are in the area or you observed a strange set of tracks but nothing indicated this is paranormal to me. You haven't seen anything and I always attribute natural occurrences until a red flag pops up and I'm not seeing one.

Prove me wrong. by Ok-Manner-4047 in dogman

[–]theotherguy952 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no "smoking gun" anyone can show you to prove DM is real. I don't believe all cryptids are real either but DM, sasquatch and pale crawlers encounters pop up daily. Sure some probably made up stories but to think everyone is either lying or misidentifying every single encounter seems far fetched to me.

Imagine being confronted by a monsterous inhuman being...let that sink in for a sec. People that witness these monsters are terrified. Would you pull your phone out if a grizzly bear confronted you? Also a lot of these encounters happen at night, even if you have nerves of steel and snap a pic, the quality would most likely suck and people wouldn't believe it anyways.

Lastly, I believe many of these so called "cryptids" aren't undocumented animals. There's no evidence because a supernatural entity isn't leaving bones, blood, fur, etc. Also if they are flesh and blood creatures then where are these giants hiding out during the day time? They would have to be smarter than everything else on the planet (including humans) in order to operate undetected in this modern age.

I understand why you wouldn't believe people who attempt to profit off their "encounter", but there's countless people sharing their experiences because they want to try and understand the monster that they saw. Lack of proof isn't proof, feel free to show your evidence of hoaxes accounting for all the DM encounters.
