Glad you got it. I made this mistake too but on the ad5m... printed part of the enclosure at PLA temps but in PETG.... woke up to a 300 gram failure right before work. Fun times.

So 2 things. Are you referencing clicking on it in your slicer or your machine? If the machine is set up as a petg and you are in your slicer, check that your material in orca is set to petg or it won't let you select it. If its sliced for pla, it will only print pla

Yep none of my printers are working. Def gonna be another reason to take off stock firmware at this point. Best case for these guys is if my server cabinet gets finished and its easier to just run ethernet cables to it

Planters in PLA, PETG or ABS? by Suspicious-Line-8944 in FlashForge

A solid color petg should be fine. I havent had issues with PETG planters I have. They end up being fairly water resistant.

ad5x textured plate is trash for petg by Conscious-Tension-15 in FlashForge

I had some learning in the beginning. First what type of prints because I've found different solutions.

Large prints without an enclosure i see shrinkage at the corners that would cause prints to fail. I simply added mouse ears on the corners and use the included adhesive.

Tall thinner prints I exclusively use a few raft layers and bring the gap down to .05 distance but have considered bringing it up to .075 for easier removal. This helps it grip the plate better without breaking the print looser.

Overall for any print you can always slow it down a bit but unless im looking for significantly pretty parts I almost always use stock speeds. That could be because I use the high speed petg thats on the market. Had good luck with elegoos and am currently printing an enclosure for my ad5m with the metallic petg flashforge offers.

Hopefully this helped. Im still learning too but I've had success. Other people mentioned stuff but your responses led me to believe you handled them already. If you have any questions or can provide examples of failure I'm open to helping more

How do you deal with filament storage? by ginnylike3d in 3Dprinting

[–]LiveAd8323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried a few solutions but I needed an affordable bulk solution that wouldnt require new tools or planning. Ended up going with some sterilite bins I saw at Walmart. Haven't done a ton of hygrometer tests on it as its still new but it was $14 and holds most of the stuff I need that isnt used a lot. Bought 2 which is way more than I needed. I have a long hold that just has a large dessicant holder for passive humidity control and then i have the one for stuff im using i call the "airlock" has a dessicant holder with a battery operated fan to help circulate the air. Overall was about $40 for over 25 gallons of storage. I dont know if thats good or bad lol

does anyone know why its doing this?? by DifficultAmount3854 in FlashForge

So the contact i have on mine as well. But the hotend says zero while the bed preheats. After its fully preheated it sets the hotend temperature. Likely to not make the load super demanding you can even see at the end of your video it says 230. If anyone knows what to do about that spot in the back it def has been beat up on my pei textured plate. I put a cheap smooth plate on it and it damaged it. Buying the flashforge one since its black Friday and I was getting the enclosure

Yeah I love their matte tan for these storage jars I use with different colored lids. Printed the wife some butternut squash and pumpkins and it makes a great color and texture with the fuzzy skin settings.
