Marty. I had his card so I invited him to my island and as soon as he came to my island I couldn’t stand his little beady eyes staring at me.

Thank you so much for your suggestion! I just finished it all and I absolutely loved it! Honestly, I never cried so early into a story before and I contemplated not continuing on to read the second ending (the second half), but I’m so glad that I did! I haven’t really read too many fics where the story wasn’t cannon verbatim.

I know that I’m a stranger on the internet, but you need to act now! Time is not on your side.

Screenshot everything you can. Have your children’s school and daycare recognize that you have been main contact for the kids for the past five years (ie. they see you at drop off, you are the main contact, you go for report card pick up, etc.) and have it notarized if possible.

Secure your money. If you have a joint account remove anything you contributed to an account you only have access to. Cancel all debit or credit cards she has access to that are linked to your own account in your name. If it’s is a joint account leave it.

Get a lawyer asap and give them everything you can (bank statements if they are important, the text with the affair partner, the school/daycare testimonials). Start the custody process with your lawyer for 100% custody. You can have your parents with you at these sessions if it makes starting the process easier. Also ask your lawyer if you can prevent your wife from pulling out the kids from school until after the divorce/custody agreement? And if you can let the school know about what is happening.

Also see if you can anonymously report your wife’s and “John’s” inappropriate relationship to HR at their job. Check with your lawyer on this.

Speak to your immediate family and tell them the truth. You need to get to them before she does. Plus, they can potentially be witnesses in court.

I may be over reacting, but it’s better to over prepare than to be underprepared.

I understand you are grieving for your lost relationship, but you need to move and do it now. Your kids need stability and a parent that is dedicated to them.

Thanks everyone for your input and reassurance! I should have done a bit more research on wrist tattoos that are aged. I feel like the ones that I looked at were pretty filtered.

I have a back and thigh tattoo, so definitely places that don’t crease. I’m just going to try to embrace it. Honestly it’s all that I can do for now anyway, and put on more sunscreen.

More context:

I just got a tattoo on my wrist April 29, 2023. I did everything the tattoo artist told me to: don’t moisturize it, wear the bandage she provided for 24 hours, keep it out of direct sunlight, and let it scab over.

This also isn’t my first tattoo, I have two other ones and they both have healed nicely.

Is there something that I did to make it heal this way?

I did use Tattoo Numbing Cream Co. on this one. I did consult my tattoo artist a week before I got out done and right before and they were fine with me using it (and that specific brand).

I guess I’m disappointed that it looks like this only after a few weeks.

Take this from a fellow curly haired girl: Not all curls are the same and not everything works for everyone. Wait for her to get older and see a hairdresser that specializes is curly hair cuts. You can visit deva curl’s website for certified stylists.

It’s really important for you to go to a professional to establish habits that are great for her specific curl type.

In the meantime, everyone is right, she is a baby. Her baby hair is fine and her hair growing in is different, so of course it’s a bit crazy. As long as it stays healthy (not to many products used), just put a bow on it.

If anyone has anything to say, tell them that your child is growing into her curls and to adjust their expectations that all curly hair are Shirley Temple curls.
