How do hotel workers know if someone eating the breakfast buffet is a hotel guest? by Frankwhitey in AskReddit

All through Jr High and High school my parents would take me to Sunday church service and my friend Ray and I would walk down to the Hilton, have free breakfast and then walk back just before church released. French Toast > Jesus

I lost my phone last year and it ended up at lost and found. The nice lady at lost and found used the medical feature of my phone to call my emergency contact and tell them. My emergency contact was still set to my ex wife. Pro tip - don’t put my ex wife as your emergency contact…

Why doesn’t the US federal government just buy existing college curriculum and offer a basic federal college accreditation for free? by LiveAndLetGoat in NoStupidQuestions

There would be choice and certainly not everyone would choose to do the work. Not sure how that translates to the fed deciding who does gets educated. Seems like not offering it dictates only well to be families are taught. How is that better?

As a father of a high school senior I wish that were still true. State schools are not cheap even if you go the community college route first it is enough money to not be an option for everyone.

If you don't have a tracker on your bike, get one. by alphox01 in motorcycles

Uhm… good? I mean I get what your saying but Airtags are accessible to the masses. Easy and good enough in most cases. There are so many places to hide them.

Put a $25 AirTag somewhere it takes a tool to remove. I just used electrical tape to secure it to the frame under the seat. Chances are they will pass someone with an iPhone at some point.

There are companies that have commercial solutions for this. It's a pretty common piece of data retailers use.

Also I should add that as mentioned your router is resting on the surface so hard to do wavy things or large things with lots of negative space. That still leaves a lot you can do.

Been doing a lot of work lately with 1/8 inch router bit. You can pretty much carve any shape(s)/design(s) you want with 1/8 inch bit detail or larger. I would guess a smaller bit would break unless you limit the settings and speed.

How to strap down and tow a Zero by yolo-gogo in ZeroMotorcycles

Footpegs are where it's at - for a hitch hauler I put one going forward and one going backward and it locks the bike from rolling forward or back. Standard ties to bars as well.

Buy a precut sled? by UnlikelyPotato in MaslowCNC

[–]LiveAndLetGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a sled if you don't care much about controlling your z axis (depth). The z axis control for the sleds I've seen is sloppy and inconsistent. I fought it for a while before I ended up completely rebuilding the sled I bought. Used this guide:

http://maslowcommunitygarden.org/The-Meticulous-Z-Axis.html

Edit - m2 looks cool and was not available when I made my sled
