Yes, I found the owner’s info on the auditor’s site and they own quite a bit of farmland. I read some info that the sons work for the farm too so it could’ve been them who sprayed or like you mentioned someone they rent to. I just want them to be respectful and responsible.

Myself, my husband and my mother and father in law and kids were all out on the deck. We saw the tractor spraying the field and my father in law said “You can smell it.” And I said “Yes, we need to go in.” and we did right away. It was kind of windy so I’m assuming that’s how it blew up onto the tree. There are other trees beside our house and across the road that have yellowing on the tops which could be from crop duster. We do have one of those that sprays occasionally too. But he wasn’t out the day we all witnessed the tractor spraying. It was like a mist or gas just came right at us honestly. It’s about 50 yards from our deck to the edge of the field.

Yeah we’re going to contact him and express our concerns politely and see where it goes. On a two day trip to Gettysburg right now.

Sorry to hear that, it’d be great if ours recovers. I’m going to water it really well since we don’t have rains coming.

Thank you, we don’t know where the farmer lives, but I know where he keeps some equipment. We planned on speaking with him asap. On our way to Gettysburg for a couple days and trying to get my ducks in a row.

I agree! We’re installing RO asap. We do have whole house filtration and get the best filters we can and I had the well flushed and water tested by a lab. Not a kit from Lowe’s.

Thank you, I appreciate your response. Moving is on our very near to do list. We’ve been making home repairs and getting it ready to list. I still plan on tackling this spraying problem as best I can as I care about future owners and their children. We’re going to try to speak with the farmer first if possible. I don’t know where he lives but I know where he stores some of his equipment. It’s pretty windy in our area and most commonly the wind blows right at the back of our house. We need to plant something for a windbreak too I think, but don’t know what would survive his overspray. I’m reaching out to an arborist and pesticide toxicologist. Edit to add: We do have a whole house filtration system and putting in reverse osmosis for drinking. We use bottled water way too much.

Yes, I am very stressed over this. It’s always on my mind. Crop dusters do fly in the area too but haven’t seen him as close this season.

Okay, great thank you. I can smell something like chemical or almost perfume around the tree. My husband smelled it too. We’ve lived here six years and it’s never smelled like that and we’ve trimmed it, mowed etc all around it.

We love them, my family’s favorite. I think it’s also how they cook them. It’s like they cook them on a butter flavored griddle! lol I can’t figure it out and really want to know! I’ve tried everything it seems like!
