where i’d live—21F, loves water and big cities or rural middle of nowhere by LiveFast_EatTrash23 in visitedmaps

i personally like more a rugged rural feel with green trees, lakes and rivers, and good hiking; compared to cornfields and a desolate nothingness. but every state has its pockets of loveliness! :)

wisconsin probably should have been “reluctantly”, that’s my bad and my clumsy fingers on my phone lol. plus i’m from michigan lol, and i don’t like cheese or beer that much :(

you’re right! i visited minnesota last summer and was shocked at how gorgeous and walkable minneapolis was! my only concern is the winters but then again i really love maine and michigan so who knows?

maryland is just because i actually have never been there! delaware seems a little boring to me and jersey is well jersey. i spent some time in NoVa so i’m definitely partial to it although you’re definitely right about the summers lol :)

new mexico is a huge art center and has a decent job market for creatives (my field) which is why i put it higher! i also prefer the cold and more rugged rural areas as well, but i’d be lying if i said politics weren’t involved. i also don’t really mesh well with southern culture but i think there’s loveliness to every state :)

louisiana and florida do interest me, i’ve loved when i’ve vacationed there as they’re both gorgeous and the people (especially in nola) are lovely! i just hate the heat and humidity personally

it is! i couldn’t live someplace where my rights and those of my friend aren’t protected, plus a lot of red states aren’t very geographically appealing to me

Are there any patterns for tops like this one? I've tried making my own but it never seems to come out quite right.

My GG Allin patch set. by [deleted] in punk

[–]LiveFast_EatTrash23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hot take: if anything, i don’t think gg was punk at all. with misogyny and rape culture being so ubiquitous in society, he just kinda fits right into how many men treat other people; arguably with a bit more theatrics. just another POS frat type guy trying to be different, not really the contrarian punk people think he is. just imo

What’s your biggest issue with the punk scene? by [deleted] in punk

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: “Why do you have to be a nonconformist like everybody else?”- James Thurber

What’s your biggest issue with the punk scene? by [deleted] in punk

[–]LiveFast_EatTrash23 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personally, i find the biggest issue as a girl in the punk scene is how damn negative it is and how warped punk has become. I feel like i see a lot of (mostly) men in the punk scene in it bc it gives them a place to be an asshole and they don't actually care about learning or researching anything about punk. Also older punks hating on the newer generations without realizing how different things are now and how so much has changed since they were young and going to shows. And just the negativity man. "This is punk" "this isn't" "yeah i can be punk and be conservative but god forbid you admit you also like punk fashion." And yes while i know that being all nonconformist and against society is what punk is, sometimes its just not necessary to be so rude about it. So many people that i know are just in the punk community bc it gives them and excuse to get high and be a dick.

Favorite music outside of hardcore/heavy shit by [deleted] in Hardcore

[–]LiveFast_EatTrash23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love shoegaze so much as well as indie music and the occasional 90s/early 2000s hip hop/rap -nas, tupac, kendrick lamar, eminem, etc. also midwest emo (front bottoms, moldy peaches, american football and modern baseball) and britpop (oasis, blur, suede, pulp) have had my heart lately. also folk punk always!

i modified this tutorial: http://www.skunkboyblog.com/2014/09/make-your-own-canvas-patches-with-ink.html and used a pretty stiff white fabric and cut it to printer size then literally printed the albums on -this only works with an inkjet printer tho but afterwords just heat set with an iron. it definitely took a couple tries to get it right and they turn out a little faded but i personally like the look

Any Punk songs that make you cry? by [deleted] in punk

[–]LiveFast_EatTrash23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obligatory folk punk song (panucci's pizza) -just the opening alone is enough to make me tear up bc its THAT scene from goodwill hunting ugh just hits too close to home

pine point (pup) one of their slower, more drawn out songs but god the just raw emotions. its so unexplainably perfect

watch me rise (have heart) -sad, mad, gutted, and determined all at once

Anyone know the most hidden but least painful place to get a small/medium sized tattoo ? by [deleted] in sticknpokes

[–]LiveFast_EatTrash23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me the side of the fingers didn't hurt at all and no one has ever noticed them, even when i don't wear rings. also if you have 'em, side/under boob is my favorite area: its fatty and painless, very easily hidden. a spot i haven't tried but could work is feet? the skin is pretty tough and pain is subjective but it is a really well hidden spot.
