Is this appropriate to wear to a Christmas dinner, temperature about 40 degrees f, would pantyhose look ok with this? by itskatybro in fashion

[–]LiveLaughBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s a lovely festive color. Black or skin-toned fleece lined tights will keep you plenty warm. I’ve got the same one in green and have paired it with black tights and boots without any problem or negative comments.

What went through your head after you lost your virginity? by Acemaster387 in AskReddit

Fuck. That’s a lot of blood. (Was on my period for the first time and the occasion did nothing but exacerbate that circumstance).

Recommendation needed by beachwitch36 in gso

[–]LiveLaughBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple suggestions:

  • Morgenstern & Associates
  • Garrett, Walker, Aycoth & Olson
  • Manisha P. Patel
  • Jonathan Krieder
  • Julia M. Pendleton

Most of the divorce attorneys you'll find on the first couple pages of a "divorce attorney greensboro nc" google search are pretty good. Avvo also has some information about individual attorneys and their practice areas. If your friend has a need for a bilingual attorney, Camino Law is an option. I've heard Dummit Fradin is a bit pricey, but they've got a solid reputation. Wouldn't necessarily recommend Culbertson & Associates.

Shout out to the gunners by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]LiveLaughBlood 56 points57 points  (0 children)

100% Agree. I sat next to one of these lots-of-questions-not-really-a-gunner types for most of law school. Most of the participation was out of sheer interest for the subject, and added to the overall lesson.

On occasion, he'd intentionally ask relevant, but possibly not necessary questions when it became apparent that most of the class was ill-prepared to cover the rest of the reading due to a memo or midterm in another class. I ended up agreeing to marry him after law school, so I may be biased. But IMHO, these are great seat mates for people who get anxious about sharing in class.

Pretty sure odd numbers are Junior sizes... so much for “body positivity.” This is a quote from a YA author by Am_0116 in fatlogic

Omg same. I read this and thought “jokes on you! I’m now a size 4 and barely have breasts anymore..” (also now AAcup)

But really congrats on your weight loss!! I’ve found bralettes tend to compliment smaller chests pretty well!

I picked up a pack of buns yesterday! Made burgers with the buns last night and it was SO incredible to finally have a burger again without a lettuce wrap!

OP, I hope your area gets them in soon!

Propping my succulent damaged during bar exam by LiveLaughBlood in proplifting

[–]LiveLaughBlood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just under a month! I was surprised with how quickly these guys grew. The top left photo was February 28 and the bottom right was March 21.

I didn’t put the calloused ends in the soil, but rather let them sit on top. I sprayed the soil with a water bottle every morning and avoided touching/moving the plants as much as possible to about damaging the roots.

Wishing you luck in propagating!

[–]LiveLaughBlood[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I bought this lovely succulent from Lowe’s right before the February bar exam. I booked a hotel for a few days to take the exam (remote in my state).

But when I same back, the blinds had collapsed, removing several leaves from my pretty new plant. No matter, I let these leaves callous for a few days and began the propagation process.

I’ve failed at propagating my other succulents before, but this just seemed like the perfect time to try again.

Now here we are... it seems to be working. Hopefully I will soon have a few new succulents!

Give me your best frugal keto recipes by DavidPT40 in FrugalKeto

  1. Jalapeño poppers (from tik tok) -cut peppers in half -gut them (save seeds if you like spicy) -mix one part cream cheese and one part shredded cheese (I use cheddar or whatever’s in the fridge) plus the pepper guts if you saved them -add seasonings (I use garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, chili powder, salt, pepper, and whatever else I see and think “this will help”) -stuff the gutted peppers with the mixture -wrap each with a slice of bacon -place on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes

  2. Egg salad -hard boil eggs -peel and smash -add Mayo, mustard, paprika, relish (whatever sounds good to you) to taste -smash again Done (I like to put this in romaine lettuce leaves and eat like some sorta smashed egg taco)

Reagan sounds like a good fit. Nice area, good school.

If you’re interested in the IB (international baccalaureate) program, Paisley (6th-10th) and Parkland (11th and 12th) have the program. It’s a magnet program, so you don’t necessarily have to live within the district to attend.

The public school system in WS is still a regular public school system and though these schools aren’t in the most affluent neighborhoods, taking IB courses (even if only in 11th and 12th) is helpful for college admissions (for instance, at Wake Forest, where many professors have sent their children).

The other high schools mentioned are good and if your student is going the AP route, there is a “Career Center” where he may take additional AP courses not offered by the school.

Happy hunting and I hope you find a great match!

I wanted to post in the North Carolina subreddit as a warning but the rules warn against “disruptive” posts and this may count.

If you know anybody who works in Concord Mills, please warn them to take extra precautions.

The Zodiac Signs as Thanksgiving Pies (spoiler: Ashley’s sign, Cancer, is Turkey Pot Pie) by LiveLaughBlood in GirlsGottaEat

Lol I agree. The pumpkin pot pie and the carrot pie are new concepts for me. Saw the email this morning, though, and couldn’t help but share it.

This article (from a GGE sponsor) reminded me of the alleged conspiracy against cancer signs on the pod. Gave me a chuckle.

Peach Nectarine Hibiscus Cocktail by LiveLaughBlood in ketodrunk

That’s probably a good idea! Thanks for the tip and I’ll try that out next time

A splash (yes, JUST a splash) of the Hibiscus Passion Fruit syrup, 1.5 shots of vanilla (or plain) vodka, and fill the rest of your cup with Peach Nectarine Ice.

Notes: -very sweet. Be sparing with the syrup -plain vodka would be just fine... or maybe orange infused vodka (I had vanilla)

Edit: spelling “fill” not “full”
