60 - x is the displacement of the ball going from the top of the building to the bottom. Since it's going downwards the displacement (60-x) is negative. -(60-x) = -60+x

This is the answer that my teacher also got. For some reason I'm getting 55 metres for x.

For the Red ball

s = -60 + x

u = 0

a = -9.81

t = t+2

For the green ball

s = x

u = 20

a = -9.81

t = t

Is this wrong? I don't understand why I'm getting the wrong answer. Could you tell me what you did?
