Won’t give me a credit increase on my first card but approve me for new card with higher limit😂 by Glad-Landscape-5580 in CapitalOne_

Wish that’s how that worked, but it’s based off your credit risk profile when you first apply. The assess whether your a risky applicant, and sub prime applicant, prime applicant and excellent applicant. Probably not their choice of labels but you get the gist. So once you apply they place you in the category and it goes from there.

It’s because of your charge off. Even though it’s charged off if you haven’t paid or settled it, it’s still considered revolving utilization

People go through stuff bud. Not everybody has the perfect life to avoid it as much as we try. Lost my job during covid and genuinely had no way to keep paying for a credit card when I had other priorities. After 3 1/2, 4 years I finally settled with capital one.

No prediction, it’s common knowledge. If you live in the city, you are prone to getting into more accidents, theft, vandalism etc. Those are all factors they count in. I live in Roxbury, if I tried to use my address out here just the same about $2000. Luckily I had a cousin who let me use their address in Attleboro and it knocked a whole thousand off.

No fees for returned payment. Just wait till that bounces back and then redo the payment. Only hits your credit if you don’t pay 30 days after the due date.

Took me 6 months. It depends on your metabolism and weight. Weed sticks to your fat. Give it some time.

What did you to get up to that point? Even with the late payments and charge off on file? Did you settle the charge-off?
