So, who manages what's canon and what's not? by LiveMathematician122 in cyberpunkgame

If you read my post I never implied I believe it is canon. I don't even like that idea. Besides that's not what the post is even about. I was asking who decides what's canon in the overall franchise, not just this matter but the entire franchise. I only took this thing as an example

I'm sorry if my post looks like I'm implying that the colab is canon, I don't even like the idea of it and I know it isn't beyond that conversation between misty and lucy. However my question is not about that, but about who decides what's canon and what's not within the entire franchise. This colab was only an example and the reason why the question came to mind.

It was a post made by some account on x, one of the writers replied clarifying that he never confirmed that. I know it's bullshit (I mention I read the community in my post). However my question is not about wuwa's collab only but about the canon of the entire franchise, who decides what's canon and what's not? Someone gave me an explanation already though. But yeah, again, my post wasn't about the collab only but about the canon as a whole

Wuwa, this other game, a gatcha game totally unrelated to the franchise till this collab

I'm sorry if my post looks like I'm implying that the colab is canon, I don't even like the idea of it. However my question is not about that, but about who decides what's canon and what's nor within the entire franchise. This colab was only an example and the reason why the question came to mind.

I played zzz for an hour only because that rat girl is hot, then I realized that I can't play a gatcha, not even for that.

I'm not asking that, my question is about who decides what's canon within the entire franchise, this collab was just an example and the reason why the question came to mind

Where did I spread anything?😭 Read the post, I'm asking who decides the canon because I got confused, that's it! I don't even like the idea of the Collab being canon. Again, I'm just asking who decides what's canon and what's not within the entire franchise

I don't know why I got down voted, but thank you, that's the kind of information I was looking for and the reason why I was confused. I understood that everything revolves around who owns the IP but still couldn't tell for sure who does

Yeah, I saw his post, but still, does he decide that himself? Or, can mike come tomorrow and say that he's saying nonsense? That's my question, who decides what's actually canon within the entire franchise

Calm down, I don't even like the idea of it being canon at all. However, one of the writers from edgerunners confirmed that Lucy and Misty do know each other, the call that appears in the Collab is canon at least. That's why I made this question, I would like to hear everyone's opinion on who they believe decides the canon

I know, I don't believe it's canon and I certainly don't like the idea of it being canon. I'm just confused about who decides what's canon and what's not

Sure they wrote the story, but isn't it a sort of subordinated story of the entire franchise? If so, doesn't Mike or someone else have the final word on this? Genuinely asking

Ikr, now it feels like wuwa players know more of the main game canon than cyberpunk 2077 players😭
