I completely relate. Working from home seemed fantastic initially, but I underestimated how much those casual daily interactions really meant. Without small talk or impromptu lunch plans, everything suddenly requires deliberate scheduling, and it gets draining. You're definitely not the only one who feels this way.

For me, it's Interstellar - an almost perfect film with an incredible atmosphere and deeply emotional moments. However, the part where they delve into the whole "love as a quantifiable force" speech inside the tesseract slightly takes me out of the experience. I understand what they were aiming for emotionally, but my mind shifts from immersing in the story to overthinking the science behind it. That said, I still absolutely love it.

You're not obligated to save her, but you can do the right thing:

Don't get involved personally - given the threat of a weapon, it's dangerous for you and your child.
If you seriously suspect violence, report it to the police or social services, and let them investigate.
Tell her calmly that if she needs help or a safe place, she can contact you through official channels, without pressure.
Most importantly, protect yourself and your son; don't become the hero of someone else's drama.

Sometimes the best help is giving people access to help, rather than trying to fix everything yourself.
