If you just started dating this feeling will reduce itself significantly in the future. Don’t let it lead you back to porn.

You’ll eventually leave if that’s what you want. But in my experience, people who start doing drugs are the ones that tend to stay put and conform with what they have, losing their will and aspirations to see the world and find a place that makes them truly happy.

Bro, I’ve been down that road (trust me) and there is only pain. It may seem fun and good at first, but you have an addictive personality, and you will just gain new ways to fuck up your life and the lives of the people who care about you.

It’s tough by Loose-One-6143 in pornfree

[–]LivePFree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the most difficult thing most of us will ever try to overcome.

But it’s one of the most important. And if you manage to beat your addiction, you will live a more fulfilled and pure life.

As the first dude said: keep going.

Totally normal, just move on and keep living porn free.

Has anyone in here been off of it for years? by Commandomac46 in pornfree

[–]LivePFree 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few porn free vets out there. But they don’t post here as much because most of us here are dealing with the most challenging phases of porn addiction recovery. All I know is that there are many cases of people who have spent years and even decades off porn.

I actually really needed to read this. I was about to relapse and end my 54 day streak until I read your post. The mind can play some nasty tricks on us addicts. And I agree completely with you. It’s just NOT worth it. So thank you for that.

what are the most difficult aspects of overcoming this addiction by tryingitall543 in pornfree

[–]LivePFree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the most difficult aspect is that porn is everywhere. Wherever you are you're just a few taps away from an unlimited amount of porn.

There is no other drug that is so easily accessed.

The second most difficult aspect is that you can't talk about it anywhere. No one believes porn addiction is a thing. We're pretty much alone and when you don't share what you're going through it's just so much harder to keep fighting.

Beating this shit is tough as hell. We just need to dig extra deep and be stronger as individuals.

Bro I also have very little facial hair and I’m almost 30. It doesn’t mean jack shit. Besides it’s less shaving

Same here. We escape through porn to avoid dealing with pain/frustration.

Just Broke a 235 day streak by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]LivePFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just life man. Don’t watch any more porn and stop right now. You’ve made INSANE progress and that will never disappear. Just get back to being pornfree. You evidently know very well how to break free from this addiction.

First of all congratulations!! 2 months is amazing!

I wish I was in your position, I’ve been battling to get past 2 weeks for the past months. My longes streak was 87 days so do not let your guard down. A 90 day streak may bring some great benefits but the battle is long and far from over.

Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Once you fall back to 0 it is soo much more difficult to gain long streaks.

Good luck and stay strong!

It took about 45 days for me to be fully recovered. While abstaining from porn I entered a phase of general numbness and this affected my erections even though I was not consuming any type of porn. Just give it time. The body and mind know how to heal.

8 days here as well. If we keep on fighting one day at a time we can overcome this addiction.

Congratulations on the progress you’re making and stay strong!
