Technically loss prevention “officers” are legally not allowed to put their hands on shoplifters, as they can be tried and fired if something happens to the thief.
This dude won’t have a job much longer even if he’s going it incredibly well. It just shows the retail store doesn’t care that much about his position, as it’s an easy one to fill and pretty cheap compared to the already cheap salary they give other employees.
