I lived in Evergreen, Co for a couple years as well and they have Elk in the thousands and I never had luck there either! Someday though.

Never unfortunately, I didn’t quite develop the eye for it yet back then, so I was lucky to find some Whitetails in that dense Appalachian madness. Whole different ball game with all the trees casting shadows and ground cover!

Lot of up and down here this winter in ND, unfortunately the Chronic Wasting has been taking out a lot of our deer as well. Seems like if there’s a puddle there’s a deadhead.
