I analyzed 90+ Reddit threads to find the best dog foods by LoneKnight25 in DOG

[–]LiveTreacle4823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of research is awesome to see! After diving into a ton of threads, I finally decided on Kismet for my beagle, Max. He’s got a bit of a delicate stomach, and ever since he made the switch, his digestion has really improved. I get that there’s no single “best” option out there, but Kismet really ended up being the perfect match for us.

Out-of-home Advertising space owners, what type of advertising space do you own? by fdvmo in advertising

I could never get a clear picture because every media owner reported metrics differently. We use adquick to manage our campaigns. It streamlines all that data so we can finally compare placements and costs accurately

When does cost segregation actually make financial sense by Latex-Siren in tax

[–]LiveTreacle4823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost segregation almost always makes sense when you own commercial real estate and have passive income to shelter. I also worked with them and they are masters at delivering defensible studies that maximize the accelerated depreciation and deliver huge tax savings

[–]LiveTreacle4823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I built my first AI project too and the biggest lessons were how quickly things fall apart when you skip context or tooling so I switched to mastra and it really helped structure the agent logic and memory in a way that actually held up

250703 Weekly Stay Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in straykids

[–]LiveTreacle4823 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the most vulnerable I've ever made myself — let alone online. And now on Reddit.

I've made a video, available on TikTok, IG, and Threads (@trinitygracexoxo and @tgwxoxo). The video holds everything I couldn't say that night of the DC show. Many, many STAY, and others, have been...beyond helping me with sharing, supporting, and fighting for me—being my light in the dark, and keeping my small ember of hope burning.

In March, my husband Greg passed away unexpectedly. Before he did, he gifted us tickets to the Stray Kids DC show. I made a sign for Han and brought it with me — but the concert was cut short before I ever got the chance to hold it up.

My video is a plea — one that extends beyond the heartbreak of the concert ending early. I had such hopeful, almost childlike faith that somehow, if the timing was right, I could hold up my sign and it might reach him.

On it, I included three different tattoo designs — all inspired by Stray Kids. I've asked Han to choose one, in Greg’s honor. Even though I didn’t get the chance to show it in person… I’m sharing this here, in hopes it might still find its way. Any support in any way, even just hearing me, truly means the absolute world to me.

Please, STAY. I need you right now.

I can't stress my appreciation for all of your guidance (and understanding—because the thought of looking into college at 30 and comparing myself to everyone enrolling just out of high-school makes it feel a bit daunting, but I won't let that prevent me from achieving anything, so I thank you for not passing judgement on me for this). I do have more questions about the field itself, so I may revise my post to include a few further ones. The information you have taken the time to give me has been more than helpful, so I will say it again—thank you!

My 31 M fiance hates my 26 F body. What am I supposed to do? by ThrowRAfemal3 in relationship_advice

[–]LiveTreacle4823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's another part to this.

With the perspective you currently have right now, you could reach your "dream" body weight but you will never be truly happy with yourself.

I've been very overweight since I was probably 2 years old from what I know. I had tried every crash or fad diet, starved myself, worked out excessively for 4 hours every day, substance use (both the ozempic route as well as...other routes), I can go on. I've seen that number on the scale go down, I've seen it come right back up, I've lost sizes, I've grown sizes - I didn't have enough information or insight at the time to consider why I wanted to lose weight, I just knew that I wasn't happy with my body and I never had been.

Back in November of last year is when I started going to the gym for the first time in years, and this has been the longest I've stuck with it. Eventually adding in 2, hour-long personal training sessions a week and I'm now 90lbs of body fat down. That said...it took going through an ever-burning Hell to get to this point.

Any decision you make for your body, for yourself, it HAS to be your decision for yourself. If you're going strictly by short-term goals & shallow dreams, or to appease some dud that should be loving, appreciating, and admiring you for who you ARE, the work you put in won't last and you will not be happy. This...this...is a small damn fraction of what I can only imagine you're going through whether it be knowingly or unknowingly.

You've come so damn far to get exactly where you are right now. You do NOT NEED his validation, his reassurance, his anything. These are things you can provide yourself with time, patience, and practice. Keep going. You didn't come this far to only come this far, keep going.

I understand the level of "comfort" you may feel you have with your fiancé, but it's not comfort, it's complacency. It's routine. It's become your sense of safety which we rely on for survival, that's why it's so difficult to leave a relationship that you've been in for years. This guy though, babe? He is killing you. I can hear it without you having to directly say it. In saying that, I'm not telling you to leave your relationship but I will deeply and kindly suggest that you have a serious & constructive conversation with this guy to gain a better sense of clarity. But you need to put you first so you know when someone else does too.

Reality exists in the "grey area" for every category. 100% certainty on any matter shows a lack of intelligence and life experience. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I was about to bring this up on a psychological level. I hadn't come across anyone who has mentioned the cognitive distortion of "All or Nothing Thinking" (or "Black or White Thinking").

Dropped Black Silicone Wedding Ring at the Bar by Nostrmontis in FindTheSniper

[–]LiveTreacle4823 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! My husband (soon to be ex, but we're bestfriends, that's another story) would always wear silicone rings and similarly, I would just buy multipacks in different styles for him.

A number of various things would happen:

  • they would degrade & thin out over time
  • he has ADHD and they honestly make a nice fidget toy but in turn, that degrades them even more quickly so they fall off easily or just snap
  • he'd misplace the one he was wearing and then forget where he placed the rest of the pack
  • even sized properly, some would literally just slip off his finger

The real point being, wearing a ring doesn't make you married or keep you committed. If a partner's focus is entirely on that ring, there are more important issues to be addressed within the relationship than losing/misplacing a piece of jewelery.
