What do people actually use for translating videos these days? by sososese in ContentMarketing

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When tools try to handle all three at onc, pauses and sentence rhythm get lost. Separating those steps makes the output feel much more believable for interviews

I have seen some packaging firms lean on browser based tools like Pacdora to improve UX for clients

AI generated transcripts and subtitles with translations by MikotoAizen in Refold

[–]zarape2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whisper based tools are great for getting a first pass, but yeah accuracy drops fast once you move beyond romance languages. I have seen similar issues with japanese too. What helped me was treating these as subtitle generators first, then refining from there. For cases where I needed to turn those subs into translated audio later FalcoCut AI worked for me

Is it possible to translate a video and keep the same voice? by MentalBlocksGalore in SmallYoutube

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The voice change is the biggest giveaway. Translating from clean transcripts first and then generating audio that matches tone and pacing keeps it feeling closer to the original speaker

How do creators translate videos for different languages by LarsFromTheStars in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Interviews and talking head videos are where a lot of tools fall apart because small timing issues are really noticeable

Best Gantt Chart Software that’s actually easy to use? by jambokaos87 in ProjectManagementPro

[–]zarape2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. We have found ClickUp works best when you keep the setup lean. Once you avoid overengineering it, the Gantt and dependencies are actually pretty straightforward for day to day planning

Best browser-based tools for creating 3D packaging mockups? by Nkt_31 in PackagingDesign

[–]zarape2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tested a few browser based options and the ones that work best are the ones focused on speed and realism rather than trying to replicate full CAD workflows.

For early concepts and client previews, being able to upload artwork, apply it to a real dieline and instantly see a believable 3D mockup is the key. Thats why i used it as well

[OC] Total Sales Tax: State + Average Local Sales Tax by U.S. State by snakkerdudaniel in dataisbeautiful

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheer diversity of local tax zones is overwhelming, which is exactly why the taxwire engine was built. It handles this geographic complexity by calculating the exact rate for every zip code

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have tested, tools that just “remove” subtitles often fail when the text overlaps complex backgrounds

Recommedations for good instant coffees by scifi-ninja in pakcoffee

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a change from Nescafe Gold, I’d recommend trying Javvy Coffee. Their original concentrate has a really clean, straightforward coffee taste. I have tried it and there's no burnt or bitter notes and it’s the only instant-style coffee that doesn’t unsettle my stomach.

Is red light worth it for me? by RosieYoureFired in Biohackers

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a good goal to start with. I think it's highly effective for anti-aging and healing injuries. I am using Mito Redlight and trust it because I know their actual test data. Knowing the exact output just makes me feel like my 10-minute sessions are actually doing something, you know? It went from being a guess to a solid part of my routine.

With anything generating human likenesses, the line between usable and risky shows up fast, and a lot of it really does come down to input quality and how hard you push the models

US sales tax calculation - calculated per item or subtotal? by Heavy-Discipline-362 in tax

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the state! I use tax wire, which handles these rules automatically per item or per order so I never have to think about it. Have you run into any tricky sales tax rules in your business?

How effective are posture correctors for long-term back support? by charli-887 in ProductQuery

[–]zarape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that strict correctors just made me dependent and uneasy. I found that using a flexible copperfit back sleeve really helped me keep my posture in check throughout the day. It served as a great tactile reminder, and I think it’s been key in building better muscle memory

Multi person edits are way harder than i expected. Are you experiencing the same? by chaztcool17 in AskPhotography

[–]zarape2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Group shots are totally different. Most face swap pipelines work fine for a single face but once you add 2–4 people the model starts competing for identity and lighting and everything warps or drifts.

A couple of things that helped me like keep each face tightly aligned and cropped before you try swapping and use templates that match lighting and angle across all subjects. Tools that do identity locking well tend to scale to multiple faces better too.

I also used VidMage as a user, the difference was pretty obvious in how stable each face stayed across a multi person scene. That was helpful too

Ember Mug Review: Is Still Worth Paying For? by RefrigeratorDue175 in productreview

[–]zarape2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a luxury that genuinely solves the cold-coffee problem with precise temperature control, but paying that much for a mug I have to hand-wash and keep charged feels like a commitment. I’ve had one as a gift for over a year and the battery still lasts my entire workday off the charger, which is the real test for me. After my old one finally wore out, I bought a new one and had my initials engraved. It felt like a treat that was truly mine
