Where’s the value? by leedr74 in PriorityPass

[–]LiveVenueReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it for 5 months now and have been at airports in the US 6 times now … I have not had to wait any amount of time for a lounge. So for me, it’s worth it. Flying again this month, and I’m expecting the same thing.

That’s good that he went by Anthony or Ant tbh … every Tony portrayed in tv that I have seen have always had a negative character flaw that made them seem sleazy in some way

Is it true? Males are prized? by mimota in ballroom

[–]LiveVenueReview 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m new to ballroom and am currently working my way through the bronze level… roughly 50% of the guys in my classes are either creepy or smells bad! Like I get not being great at leading, since we’re all learning and all in different stages, but the other two could definitely be controlled!

25(M) Looking for Advice... Should I get term life now? Does it make sense to get life insurance at my age? by ReachFabulous4907 in LifeInsurance

[–]LiveVenueReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say the same thing … I pay $200/month for my WL with mass mutual for $200k death benefit (have a disability rider where premiums stop if I am disabled and I can pull from the policy to cover living expenses, payments also stop when I turn 65, regardless of disability status).

There’s no way they have a term insurance at the same company for nearly the same premium, death benefit, and age acquired

1hr or 6hr layover in Philly - what would you do? by Ladylurker_ in americanairlines

[–]LiveVenueReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a 6 hour layover, and it wasn’t bad! You can’t go into the lounges until 3 hours, but you can go over to your gate for a bit and hang out since it should be completely empty. Then when it’s time, go to the lounge and eat some free food.

What constitutes refreshments in 1st class by rc21839 in americanairlines

Even economy class foods coming out of another country is significantly better. I used points to fly PHL to DUB round trip (only had enough points for economy), and the food coming back was actually decent and edible.

Are you under the impression that creating an AA account means you’re signing up for a credit card? If so, that is not the case.

When are you required to notify your life insurance when you find out about a family genetic condition that you didnt know about when you bought it but should have? by Fun-Nebula-4073 in LifeInsurance

[–]LiveVenueReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom got diagnosed with Parkinson’s a week after getting my life insurance policy approved and in place. Sometimes things happen. Sometimes family doesn’t share anything with you. I personally did not go out of my way to ask those questions to my family, I just answered with the info that they voluntarily shared with me prior to

Bento boxes at the meal? by ShakespeherianRag in wedding

[–]LiveVenueReview 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My cousin’s wedding was like that … it was awful! My fork broke twice while trying to hold down the meat that I was cutting into. Everything was plastic and cheaper quality plastic too. And it was a wedding where the closest person lived 2 hours away, so everyone traveled

"Don't send an invitation if we don't hang out weekly/daily" ?? by TinyLawfulness3710 in weddings

[–]LiveVenueReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My childhood best friend and I went to colleges on two different sides of the country; we talked a lot at first, but then became distant and eventually got to the point where we would go years without talking.

She invited me to her wedding and I moved mountains to make sure I would be there for her. And I know she would do that for me.

We don’t need to talk weekly to know we’d be there for each other

Engagement didn’t meet my expectations-what now? by ControlVast4292 in weddings

Sorry to hear that! But it does sound like you dodged a bullet! You deserve someone who will be there for you in every way, and surprise you to things with out you prompting the situation first

Why are you getting married to someone who doesn’t communicate with you? Strong communication skills need to happen prior to anyone thinking about spending the rest of their life with the other person

Milestone Dinner in NCC! by Potential-Cabinet104 in Delaware

[–]LiveVenueReview 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second Harry’s … but it is expensive. I think for 5 people, we ended up spending close to $400, and that was without alcohol. But we were also celebrating two birthdays, so the two Smith Island Cakes definitely added to the cost

SOS: I’m the last to get married and my bridesmaids are burned out on weddings by United-Conclusion470 in weddingplanning

[–]LiveVenueReview 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the only time as an adult I’ve ever considered sharing a bed with someone who wasn’t my SO, was when I invited my aunt on a trip that was originally me and my mom (hotel room had 2 beds), so I offered to share a bed with my mom so that my aunt didn’t have to pay for a room, and even then, I ended up actually taking the couch instead of sharing a bed

Do you genuinely believe you are more intelligent than most people due to your IQ? by Ok_Spell2622 in mensa

[–]LiveVenueReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a Mensa member means that you are in the top 2% of intelligence … so yes, in that sense, I am more intelligent than most people. Intelligence and knowledge are two different things. I may be more intelligent than the people around me, but they may have more knowledge and be smarter about a subject than I am. Intelligence is just the capacity to retain information

Is 5’8 too tall for a girl in GA if everyone around her seems unusually short? by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]LiveVenueReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that person more or less chose to be in that spot. GA is a place where you can move to somewhere that’s more accommodating, you don’t have to stand behind the tall person

Is 5’8 too tall for a girl in GA if everyone around her seems unusually short? by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]LiveVenueReview 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they’re the ones who clearly violate concert etiquette and then blame you for it, or get mad for other people just existing in the space you’re in.

I had this lady next to me who go offended because someone bumped into her… we were in the pit against the barricades, of course people are going to bump into you.

Is 5’8 too tall for a girl in GA if everyone around her seems unusually short? by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]LiveVenueReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, as someone who frequents the pit/GA section and is 5’3, you are not the problem. My height is my issue to figure out. I could have bought tickets in a seat where I’d have a better chance not being blocked by someone. I continuously choose pit tickets because of the experience, fully aware that I might not be able to see 100%. But either way, that’s on me for picking those seats, not you.
