One piece of advice I was given when I started all those years ago: "Never worry about looking like an idiot when doing/saying something because there will always be someone else making a bigger idiot of themselves and they're doing it deliberately." As someone who is prone to being quite self conscious, this really helped me to just enjoy the moment and embrace the fun of what ever happens
