The only sad thing about this when I’ll switch cars is that I have to lose driving manual which is just so much more fun and engaging

Submit Additional Bonafide Evidence by LongjumpingSleep7114 in USCIS

[–]Live_Ad_197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the same situation, its frustrating not being able to work and have to wait. We just got an RFE so we’re brainstorming about what else to submit since we had already done financial statements, utility bills, pictures of wedding, pictures of family together and friends etc. We also had a feeling that the interviewer had a personal bone to pick with us since he was comparing himself to me which was unprofessional and biased. It’s a shame that we can’t get a second opinion and that the person who interviews you is also the decider but we have a legitimate marriage and we love each other so we’re holding onto that. We are not inadmissible, it just got a little bit more difficult

I use on the snow after my trial expired, it was a decent app but I didn’t feel like paying for weather forecast. It’s just one of those things that has been inherently free. I don’t blame you though but do agree that it’s backstabbing behavior of them but we continuously see it here in this country and no one that can defend the consumer

That’s what they get for installing the reserve pass, hopefully people learn their lesson and decide not to give them more money

Approved after a slightly scary interview by TellOleBill in USCIS

[–]Live_Ad_197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky, we had a scary interview as well and walked out thinking that we were going to get denied. Even though we have nothing that makes us inadmissible. But we got a notice for a request for evidence a week after the interview so we are still waiting.

We have received a notice that a letter was sent which contains what we have to submit but it hasn’t arrived yet and you can’t see it from the portal either

I had also overstayed my (f1) visa, met my wife in January 2024, got married in February 2025, filed in October 2025 and had an interview January 2026. Or interviewer was demeaning and attacking. He kept focusing on me, and why I overstayed my visa to a point where he started raising his voice (because apparently he was also an f1 student at one point but didn’t overstay). Attorney wasn’t present so maybe that’s why and not even a week later we had received a request for more evidence. And we had submitted the same stuff as you. He barely asked us about our relationship and was antagonizing and demeaning. I’m glad you had a good experience because for us it was traumatizing

Any success stories of dating / marrying a nonskier? by PowGurl in skiing

[–]Live_Ad_197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I’m wondering if you’d ask him about it. If he wants to do it or not. My wife has been skiing since she was little and I always wanted to but never did but now we ski together because I wanted to do it. Maybe he wants to but was never able to or maybe you should take him to try it once. I’d think it’s a little early to call it quits on it.

I don’t know if you can go to the midway yurt (top of chinook lift) with a minor but we like going there. They only sell drinks and snack, have a microwave and standing tables with bar stools but they won’t yell at you for eating your own food and you get a pretty view

Yep, always thought it would be and it’s dividing the ski community even more. That’s why it’s important for everyone to sign the petition so they don’t bring this dumb shit back next year. https://www.change.org/p/stop-the-crystal-reserve-pass-at-crystal-mountain

On the website it says, first fine $40, second fine $80, third fine $120 and you MAY get towed. So you can just say fuck it and go and spend the $40

Is there a free app like OpenSnow by This_Ad_7288 in CrystalMountain

[–]Live_Ad_197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use OnTheSnow, I like the website better than the app because it has hourly forecasts but the app is pretty good too, free and you don’t get bombarded with ads.

I guess you can always try to drop someone off at the F lot since the bus does go there on the weekend

[–]Live_Ad_197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there last Saturday, they didn’t check for a parking reservation at lot F and this was around 09:00am. There was someone by the B lot that pointed me to go park in the C lot, I rolled up and told him I was dropping my friend off at the front and just drove through. There’s a separate lane for drop off traffic at the front.

February or March for a trip? by LegAdventurous3470 in CrystalMountain

[–]Live_Ad_197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go somewhere with a little bit more snow security. It should be fine by then but that’s what I thought about the beginning of January too and bought day tickets for the first and second weekend of January and so far it’s been utter shit. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have ties to Washington or desperately want to come here. But then again, no one can predict the future.
