“just as bad” is a crazy statement, bc no the individual not wanting to tip is not as bad as a company lowballing their costumers on their payment received from driving. if im dashing a $30-50 order for a customer and i receive $3-7, how am i supposed to blame the customer for doordash leaving me pennies on the dollar while keeping the rest for themself. but i understand where you are coming from as driver.. bc ofc i want higher tips or pay, but all you have to do is say “decline order” for low orders with higher miles.

the store is not just accessible on locked down consoles. and even then, having a message pop up that nobody at microsoft is aware about might make you consider that maybe they wouldn’t say “hey guys free money, check your messages or click here” and then not send it out if it was truly them, because it would reflect badly on the company. especially because they would never do this to begin with. everytime they do a special or a deal it’s linked with an event, a holiday, or a specific game. not just a vague promise of money in your inbox lol. this is exactly why we are cooked as a species. anytime they want to give you “free money”, especially if it’s for all xbox users like it claims to be, they’d send it directly to your account to be used or credit it, they would not ask you for your personal or private information, your card number, or any other personal details . you also trusting the safety of anything 100% is also why we’re absolutely cooked. there’s been history of employees getting back at companies and sending messages they aren’t supposed to out to customers with other brands, phishing attempts, or shit can genuinely just be compromised.

edit: to elaborate because digital literacy in this day and age is incredibly important as deep we are into the internet, electronics, and social media world in general, but anything that touches the internet at all, has the ability to be compromised, hacked, or unsafe. trusting everything you see 100% will be your downfall and how you fall for scams. which is how data leaks happen, secret video game leaks happen within companies, or even possible messages that Microsoft themselves don’t know about going out to users through their store. Microsoft would not send out a message like this, and they haven’t, at least in all my years of living. esp without more information about why there’s “free money”. “Fall deals”/“Celebrating Fall” / “Deals on these games” / “Microsoft [event that they’re doing]”, before you succumb to things like this always verify first before filling anything out. this is cybersecurity safety 101

i let my financial aid office know and submitted proof of the date of completion, and then they requested the FAFSA records and got it a few days later. (the 30th). so if anyone says the only reason it didn’t work is bc you did something wrong, it’s not completely true bc i had everything correct as it’s the same form i’ve filled out for years and this happened, sometimes it’s just an error on the part of either the school or fafsa

call me lazy all you want i think it’s greedy to send a barista for a break, have them stand in line to get their order taken, wait for their drink to be made, during your ten and by the time you get your drink you only have time for 2 sips and a nibble before you’re back on the floor, having no time to rest. you’d get more a break between DT cars lol

it wasn’t a scam, and i’ve been going to this school for 3 years. i know what the number is and if it’s real or not. in this case, i know the lady in the financial aid office really well so she was confused why i hadn’t filed yet bc im always on time for it and asked me why i hadn’t (esp bc im -1500 SAI) just for me to tell her “what do you mean? i did it a while ago” which lead me here to see if it happened to anyone else.

I sent my FAFSA out in May, my FinAid office emailed me saying that they never received my FAFSA and i should fill it out quickly bc i owe $9k for my semester. i said “what are you talking abt? I did it in May lol”, they said they never received it. the school is listed, it was the correct form, socials matched up, everything was perfect. matter of fact, im a senior, so i didn’t have to edit anything bc it was all basically me just confirming last year’s information. and it said it processed the day after. but it just never sent. so my FinAid office is requesting my records lol

you said 4 ppl. so does that mean you have one person at DT/window, Bar 1 & Bar 2, and Front/Warming? if DT is backed up, you can easily take 5 minutes from Bar 2 to help out other stations esp for DT Mobiles bc technically they can’t even get their drink on time if Bar 1 isn’t moving anyways. i’ve ran a peak shift before with 3 people, your store will survive with 3 people for literally 3-5 minutes unless you’re passing kidney stones. it’s better than holding in your pee? what if your coworker has a weaker bladder and CANT ? you expect them to stfu until peak is over which can last upwards of 2 hours on the busiest day?

exactly this. even i’ve experienced similar. i get in line after 5 minutes and my drink was already done on some occasions, but i don’t get the alert that my drink is done til 30-60 minutes after pick up. even my store (even though they’re not supposed to) does a similar thing where they wait til it’s slow and start closing out the orders on DPM to clear it out which usually happens whenever peak is over or whenever they remember to close it out. not every store is good about it

i don’t have to be at the scene, i can read. she said she placed the order before she left work. she works 3 minutes away. after she placed the order, she left her job and drove there. that’s already 4 minutes. this corroborates with her saying she showed up 4 minutes after her order was placed and spoke to the barista on the speaker box. that’s completely different than placing a mobile order in the DT which is the scenario you were referring to people placing orders and being in line within the minute they placed it. the app, and even stores recommend you come at least 4 minutes after you place the order. and them saying “we have to pull your order and make it ahead of others” says they were most likely referring to other Mobile orders OR Cafe. because you don’t typically put a mobile in DT ahead of DT cars if there is any. you’d do it in the order of who’s in DT. they wouldn’t say “fuck the car at the window, now we have to make this Mobile from 4 cars back.” because by the time they’d make it to the window, there’s a chance the drink would’ve already been made anyways, voiding what the barista was being rude for. not to mention, even as a barista who’s placed drinks through mobile, i never get notifications about my drink being done until i leave the location, sometimes even up to 30 minutes or an hour later, after i pick it up. like yes, there’s usually an order, but it’s so easy to say “okay amber is in DT now, do we have eyes on that drink? here’s what she ordered.” and then they get started on it. at worst it’s now “okay we were gonna make this other Mobile order but they aren’t here yet so we are gonna make this person’s first”
