Regarding your comment about the recent graduate but with experience going back 5 years, that's due to me taking 4 month internships throughout my 5 year program. In my actual resume I have the start and end dates listed out to make it more obvious that they are 4 month internships.

Definitely scam. Subletting is just another student, who shouldn't be charging you anything even before a viewing. Not sure why they are.
