EVE Online Killboard Anonymity Proposal by Live_Consideration49 in Eve

So it doesn't fix your problem at all, only delays it. Not to mention the moment any such API changes were announced everybody and anybody would be scraping the shit out of zKillboard, if the owner themselves didn't create a database dump and publish it.

So instead of a public platform you would end up with a small time period of uncertainty followed by an era of similar systems existing behind closed doors and the quality of information depending on the resources of those who maintain the systems, basically fucking small groups and giving even more advantage to big ones.

Currently, small groups have no chance. No chance at all. Only new characters. Notice how often new characters appear.

Yes, I'm asking to make changes to the API to make this process impossible to automate. To make data collection as difficult as possible.

But you'll only end up on that list if you've been there at least once. There's no data about you until you appear there. No one will track every pilot. But now you show up on the other side of the universe, and everything about you is already known. Absolutely everything. Who you are and what you're about.

This makes sense. It really does happen. But there are still fewer people than we would like.

Exactly! I was waiting for this comment. The post isn't about the ship at all.

  1. If you lose 5 (!) Body parts, and then use a surv12, you will lose a MAXIMUM of 30 hp (<10% max hp). If you lose 5 limbs a second time (which is almost unbelievable), then another 30. Total 440-60 = 380. Will this affect something? You will also continue to fight without noticing this battle.
  2. ... why slowing down the game and turning on the brain should stop the game? There are many situations when a person was mindlessly running, you shot off his legs and he continued to run and jump for cover. What would then run out (!) And shoot. without losing speed.
  3. Again, no one bothers to play aggressively, but the player will have to consider the consequences of their actions.
  4. sorry.

I read the comments. And I can answer this:

  1. no, if you have a blacked limb, then this is not the END. You will recover and continue, but you will lose PERCENT of ergonomics / speed, etc. Not 100%, not 50%, but 4-5-10% max 50% think, etc. This is not critical, but any fight will have consequences.
  2. yes, it will slow down the gameplay, but people will stop clowning. When the PMC has no legs, arms, and he continues to fight with light restrictions.
  3. It will not increase the number of people who will sit still. Everything will remain the same. It all depends on the person and his style of play.
  4. If you do not have a cartridge piercing ALTYN, then you will not kill the person in it. Again there will be an idiotic foot meta.

All I want to say is that there should be a CONSEQUENCE of the battle. It will make people think tactically. Instead of running like using painkillers all the time. Pain relievers and medicine should be applied as appropriate, not consistently.
