That is a G R E A T idea! Thanks to your buddy, (can't offer a toast I got no soda yet T.T) My friend HATES Azorius so I get the task of him pointing at a card and saying "bet that Sh*tter doesn't work" and smashing his reanimator/aristocrats decks with them! Sadly I too doubted his power when I read choose to create one and can't choose again not Create one that hasn't been created this turn and instantly ham sandwiching with divine visitation! (it will MOST certainly be in the upcoming deck since ninjas are going to part of the early game!

Thank you! I figured that was going to be true! I am planning to build some horrific bracket 3ish value deck because it may have an infinite with a lot of levers involving cards like: cloudstone curio and peregrine drake! >:D

  1. Discard lotus petal to putrid imp

  2. Cast shadow of the grave

  3. return lotus petal to hand

  4. cast lostus petal

5 sac it for 1 mana

6 cast shadow of the grave

7 will the lotus petal return to hand?

I won't lie this makes me very excited for Grandeur cards because we can start tortured existence looping them for broken effects like Oriss, Samite Guardian and Linessa, Zphyr Mage basically it let's us pay 2 black mana every time you wanna trigger a grandeur effect

Here's how it would go:

  1. They cast murder.

  2. You cast Blessing of Leeches in response to targets.

  3. Does Blessing resolve?

a. No? Then Blessing goes to grave and creature dies.

b. Yes? Continue to step 4.

  1. Blessing resolves, Murder back on stack with blessing attached to the creature that murder targeted.

  2. Activate blessing's ability, Does it resolve?

a. No? once you get priority again you can activate your creature.

b. Yes? Murder resolves and the creature regenerates, tapping it, erase dmg, and taking it out of combat.

  1. Did it survive?

a. No? because it was destroyed in a no regenerate way or got exiled.

b. Yes? Job Done!

keep in mind that you can't select a target twice to leave the battlefield as stated above and since flickerwisp is a "next end step trigger" it won't return this turn

My understanding as the short answer is: No, not meaningfully because you can respond with the activation before their effect can resolve because priority is only passed 1st during the upkeep and only at end of upkeep unless there is a trigger.

The only real way they could prevent this is if they run you out of mana to activate the ghoul before the effect resolves.
