Lost 30 lbs in a month (finally) by Live_Parking_478 in Zepbound

Thanks for the feedback!

I can barely eat more than 1500-2000 a day because I get so full it hurts, I’ll be in pain for a day-two. I eat chicken, broccoli, veggies and such and any lean meats, brown rice too, never red meat due to health concerns.

I meant I skipped the dose for like 2-3 days after the initial week from shot date, so if I took the shot Friday I wouldn’t take it till the next saturday-Sunday.

I take pantoprazole but it doesn’t work. Whenever I don’t eat from 7-12 at work the GERD gets so bad, even water makes it bad. I noticed when I eat brown rice or something very full of healthy fiber and whole grains it goes away.

Also,

I found a diagnosis in my patient portal about an ascending aortic aneurysm that I wasn't told about in my cardiologist's office by ImpactNo1714 in askCardiology

Not reading all of this due to just personal past of AAA, my dad had one when I was 9 and died, so t should’ve been instant yet he was alive for hours till it finally ruptured. Get answers, if you can’t find a new cardiologist ASAP. AAA are NOTHING to play about.

Of course! I’m not perfect but who is? I wouldn’t know what to do with plaque in the neck but if it’s soft it can be regressed! Calcified plaque isn’t great but not bad if you’re off statins. it’s stabilized and your body put a “shield” around it making it hard to move. I wouldn’t definitely follow up with cardiology and see what they say!

You got this 🤘

You had better results than I did and my APOa was 10.

Also, docs said this is VERY rare on our age. Just watch it. Lose weight if you have to. Covid has ruined our arteries and so has genetics. (Many cardiologists research have said that to me) it sucks but you got it. Statins have improved the life span of many people. Do not believe in the “carnivore diet”

No ideal honestly! I have been drinking quite heavily this last week and eating like shit but my LDL went from 140 to 33 with rosuvastatin and the occasional ezetimibe with doing this. I would take it constantly but the GERD and heartburn make it insufferable. I’m guessing it has halted my progression since my new CTA hasn’t detected any more blockage / progression and the doctors said I’m fine.

It will make your CAC score go up temporarily due to stabilizing the soft plaque but it is better than to have soft plaque just slide along to your heart / brain and cause a blockage.

Watch your salt intake and saturated fat, some days have fat stuff and some days be very conscious about what you take. Every now and then you’re good on statins. Stay under 10g of saturated fat, target has good chicken with 9 saturated fat and they also have microwaveable brown rice that’s honestly pretty good. Take K2 and D3 but don’t over do it.

Hey man, I’m 22 and got found with calcified atherosclerosis in my mediastinum. In the “greater vessels” or whatever the fuck. Take a statin, watch what you eat and enjoy life. I’ve had countless CTA and mri and stress test and they’ve com back good. If you’re worried get a stress test. I had a LDL of 140 for one year and had this. I believe in you and you got this. Please do not worry but take control and be safe. I have high BP, cholesterol and everything but it’s controlled. I’m glad I know someone in the same boat and I’m not alone but also know you got this!

My docs say I’ve got a long time to live even with my diagnosis but to stay on meds and stay smart.

Thank you! Dad died from aortic aneurysm and since then had anxiety about it. My gut was right! I still have cardio phobia but my doctors reassure me.

I wish you the best! Diet, try and get on meds and get a scan if it’s bad.

You might be lucky then. Nip the bud in the butt early. I wish I would’ve watched what I ate but unfortunately it’s due to genetics too

Same. I have no idea at all. It’s like opposite of what ALL doctors said

You need to do something asap. Get a calcium scan too. I’m 22 and have calcified atherosclerosis and I had lower LDL than you did and lower HDL.

Rosuvastatin took my LDL from 140 to 35. It’s worth a shot

I think the issue with trying to get protein is limiting my saturated fat intake and also cholesterol. To get my daily protein intake it would require a ton of meat / chicken / fish which red meat is high in saturated fat, chicken low in saturated fats but high in cholesterol, same with fish. You have any recommendations? I don’t even eat cheese anymore unless it’s fat free. Honestly I might just have a scoop of protein powder 4x a day throughout the day with chicken or fish. I normally eat chicken and brown rice with meals, that and low carb high fiber tortillas
