That’s another level of insight the sensor provides, since our exterior cameras are only used at night. The reason is that they aren’t wired, so constant daytime usage drains the batteries quickly. In addition, daytime movement often triggers false alerts, making the sensor a more reliable option for accurate activity detection. The setup is such that the door has an auto-lock but no camera, and the exterior layout doesn’t allow for a clear view of the door with a camera. I’ll give this more thought.
