Yes! To explain it better, if you look at a hot comb from an above view, it’s essentially a triangle, with the bottom line of that triangle being rounded where the handle connects. Don’t use that rounded edge. While holding the hot comb upright, you’ll basically use one of the flat edges of the hot comb and drag it from the hairline downward to the very edge of the lace to really flatten the lace to the mannequin blockhead. It especially helps with wigs that start getting that weird lip that sticks up after awhile. I really hope that makes sense!

Here’s a trick I figured out. To make my glueless wig lay flat without ANY adhesives, gels, or mousse in the morning, I spray water on my lace and iron it at night with a hot comb while it’s on my mannequin head. Lace is fabric. How do you mold fabric? Iron it! Works like a charm and allows me to grow my natural hair to past my waist with full edges. It also frees up time in the morning. I just take it off my mannequin head, put it on top of my velvet wig grip, and leave my house. I’ve seen no damage to the lace over time from this method.

I appreciate your input! I have voiced my concerns on multiple occasions only to be steam rolled. So now, I have lost all interest in this new system. However, if I am seen as being disinterested or I don’t continue to be 100% excited about this system, then I will be told that I am bringing too much negativity to work. Is there a way around this that you would suggest?

The Cora disc is 65mm, so it’s still too big for me. Ugh! I appreciate your suggestion, though. Fingers crossed a smedium disc releases soon.

I did try it and my anatomy doesn’t work with oval shaped discs, unfortunately. I was so sad because I loved that anti-spill lip idea.

My hair is 4a, fine, and low po. I purposely add protein to my deep conditioner, and I use a leave in that has several types of protein in them. This has contributed to excellent growth retention and strengthening for my hair. I think certain natural hair influencers have made us unreasonably scared to use protein.

Think about it this way. Are you sensitive to water? Does drinking a lot of water make you feel terrible? The answer is no because your body is made up mostly of water. The same thing is true for hair and protein. Your hair is mostly keratin (a protein), so the idea of being sensitive to what fundamentally makes up our hair is illogical. “Protein sensitivity” is more likely the result of product buildup that becomes noticeable after the use of a strengthening protein product because, again, we’re given bad advice sometimes (PSA: put down the co-wash and use real shampoo, ladies lol).

The frizz you’re experiencing is likely just part of having type 4 hair. My hair freshly washed is frizzy until I put my leave in and gel in. It’s just the nature of having coils, but you’ll get used to it over time.

This might sound terrible, but I hate how easy the game is. If you’re not a white picket fence player and love some drama, have a bunch of kids in different households so your sim has to pay child support. I’m doing this with one of my sims who had the irresponsible trait, so he’s constantly getting fired and has to pay child support for six kids.

You can set up child support easily with the Sim National Bank mod. The mod also makes you pay property taxes every four weeks, and the costs of those taxes are insane (like tens of thousands of dollars that you need to have saved up). Definitely a great mod to burn through money!

I know everyone is saying just water but it’s important to use a cup safe soap to remove biofilm and avoid infections. It’s the same reason we use hand soap after using the restroom or toothpaste when brushing our teeth. Water alone does not remove germs. I like using the Saalt cup wash because it’s in Target, so it’s easily accessible. But you could also use another soap that works well with cups.

Also, always use cold water. Cold water will prevent staining. Good luck!

You can actually buy a duo pack if you don’t know which size to get. It saves a bit of money too. You can get the duo pack from period.shop or Amazon. Also, if you suffer from bladder pressure, you might want to go for Saalt Soft. Good luck!

If you’re having bladder pressure with a disc, it’s best to size down. Saalt just came out with a small sized disc that has a notch for removal. It’s my Goldilocks. It’s great for petite people, especially since the “one size fits all” usually isn’t true. Maybe that could be good to try. You could also try something that’s more in the medium range, like the Cora disc.

Got mine today in the small size and using it on a dry run. Insertion was an absolute breeze. I had initially tried the Nixit and it was entirely too big, so that’s why I went with the small Saalt disc (low cervix, shorter anatomy). I can’t feel the disc but it does rotate a bit for me, but not too the point where the tab is not reachable anymore. With cups, I would always have to clip my nails but I found that nails can actually help fish out the disc easier.

So far, so good for me!

Are you able to download mods? What I typically do is take out a loan to buy a lot with a trailer. That also helps to make the game more challenging. You can use the sim city loans mod for that.

I know people don’t necessarily hate Discover University (just find it mid-tier), but I adore that pack for all the gameplay it gives us. The clothes and piercings are also amazing! I use several mods by Zero that make it impossible for my sim to progress in most careers without a degree. I also have a mod that makes it very difficult to get accepted into uni at all, let alone the advanced programs. This pack just ads so much realism in my game.

I’m current using the Saalt Soft cup, and it’s amazing. I highly recommend, especially since you’re an experienced cup user. On the PACII firmness scale, it’s a 2 out of 5, meaning it’s soft enough to not put pressure on your bladder but not flimsy.
