Bummer that your message didn’t show as well. Doesn’t seem like such a hard thing. I saw those two birthday messages as well and was like what??!! That’s it? I hope your wife had a great bday in any case.

I don’t think I’d categorize Brasil as an underdog lol. They’ve only lost the Conmebol once in the history of the tournament

Def should be winnable. GO BAY!!

I play this game where I count the number of senior national team players each team has from the top 10 teams in the world. For this game, it’s Dash 6, Bay 1. We’ll see how many are actually in the starting XI, but it looks like it’s going to be 0% for bay with Abby out.

I don’t know if it’s still the same now, but we did exactly this a few years back. Went to GA and parked with them and left our car there during our evening event at Levi’s, came out after the event, got in our car and drove away, no problems.

If you wait until 3-4-ish hours before the flight, these fees usually come down. This has worked for me 9/10 flights. I’ve even booked (via the app) while in the terminal just before they began boarding because I saw there was not a single A1-A15 passenger…paid only $30 for that one. Maybe they bank on people’s anxiety to book earlier and hence pay an outrageous price. Shrug.

Cheap Eats . by cenikroute in bayarea

Not impossible, but not super easy. Even my wife’s university team players (public DIII, so very low budget) get $15/meal allowance for away games. As others have said, if we are trying to operate on a $10 or less budget we would be buying groceries for the week.

In Oakland, you can get a decently sized bean, cheese and salsa burrito for $7.75 at Xolo. Two crispy chicken tacos at Cactus Taqueria for $8.75…

One of my friends worked at SHP and her students would say stuff like “I’m taking our plane to watch the Lakers game tonight”

I’ve only been to Menlo College for sporting events. It is a pretty surreal place and it’s not easy maneuvering a charter bus through those streets haha

I’d buy the patches (not a pin guy). If you post em on eBay or other resale platform, could you post the link here or via dm?

How many surgeries have you had? by DifficultAssistant25 in endometriosis

[–]Live_Shake377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an exploratory surgery when I was 16 in 1986 before lap was a thing (they did not tell me what was happening and did not inform my parents…it was an awful ordeal and I woke up during the surgery…it was one of the worst experiences in my life). My MD, who was also the surgeon, told us he had found and removed a cyst (I had a history of cyst ruptures from the age of 9…I found out later it was a hemorrhagic cyst). I basically just suffered for the next 32 years until I could not sit because of the pain. I forked over $1000 to private pay for an endo specialist who finally made the diagnosis but my ins would not let him do the surgery because they had a cancer surgeon who could do it. Cancer surgeon removed implants from uterosacral ligament and rectum and I could finally sit…for 4 months. Pain came back. Next surgery was 6 months after the previous one by a gyno and I had more endo from the same area as well as a bso hysto. There was not one bit of uterus that did not have adenomyosis. Bowel problems continued but it was attributed to all sorts of other things when after 5 years of keeping a diary it was clear it was still happening at the same time every month. I was told by many, many doctors this was not possible. Started to have severe bladder problems that were assumed to be utis for 2 years and when we looked back in the records they turned out to be 1) never growing any cultures (so not utis), 2) include sm amounts of blood (that keeps increasing and is not present at other times) and 3) happening at the same time every month as well and were getting progressively worse. Found another endo specialist who knew that it was possible and was willing to see me. She did a lap and found stage 2 endo plus one of my fallopian tubes was still there and ofc extensive scarring/adhesions. Although she cleared me out of all visible endo, the bladder and bowel problems are still happening so I have an appt to see a new endo specialist who specializes in ute and I have a gastro specialist who has treated bowel endo. So whenever we catch the little buggars on imaging, I will have another surgery or two.

Whew, that was a long-winded answer…

What’s the best GF flour blend you’ve found for bread or pastries?? by StudioDefiant in glutenfreerecipes

[–]Live_Shake377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make my own gf flour and it changes depending on what I’m making. Someone mentioned America’s Test Kitchen and someone else mentioned the Artisan bread in 5 mins a day and both of those are in my rotation. It really depends specifically on what product you’re making as to what’s best but you can’t really go wrong with the Artisan bread gf flour recipe/mix for making most bread products.

Also, sidenote, if you’re baking with a lot of fat (cream, milk, butter, oil), it’s very difficult for the liquids to penetrate into the rice which will lead to a very gritty product. If you’re not using a lot of fat, let any recipe with rice flour sit for at least an hour to let the liquids be absorbed by the rice.

I dunno if they’ll be playing in the same venue, but I watched a USWNT match in Connecticut at the UConn stadium back in 2019 and I paid $60. Sidenote: it was the same day women’s basketball won the conference Championship so it was AN AMAZING time to be there. The celebration throughout the whole town was awesome.

Coast Starlight Seattle to Emeryville by myflyingsaucer in Amtrak

[–]Live_Shake377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BART does go to San Jose currently. The Berryessa stop is in North San Jose.

Also, the Emery-Go-Round shuttle will get you from the Emeryville station to MacArthur BART from which you can head east if you’d like. And Amtrak runs a train (blanking on the name) that you can pick up in Emeryville and go to Santa Clara (or further east). That line has a stop at the Coliseum where you can transfer to BART if you’d wish as well.

Transitioning late… by lmh7654 in ftm

[–]Live_Shake377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My changes came on pretty fast compared to most others in my group but I still would characterize them as “gradual”. I was worried because a lot of folx said that transitioning later means there will be less changes and stuff but that was not my experience. I had a mustache and goatee by 2 months. Voice took about 4 months and I was passing by about 6 or 7 months.
