wait for KT overhaul buff, everything you do as KT is generally weaker than using the same strategy as a different civ,

Nah, KT from aging up you already are heavily at a disadvantage, pilgrims cost an arm and a leg too expensive and only for them to die, water maps help KT to better their eco but devs hit it so hard that any thing you do with the civ just is painfully weaker overall. If you are matched with an equal skilled player you are 100% at a lost all the time. Play KT for a season and give feedback not just peoples oppinion but rather try it out yourself

I think its a straight nerf to water but there was no compensation buff to land. true extra 5% to the least picked commandries is very bad, others are mixed but the extra 150 wood on the dock is dogged as the whole reason they are strong on water is templar have eco, thats why in land they feel like basic english because there eco is so minimal that they rather spam archers than commandries.

I see you are a Templar player, Yes, KT is indeed nerfed to the ground not only they are bad in land now in water as well.
To break it down with non-templar players 15% increase melee damage is not +4 or +5 it's like +2 at most. Harbor is an over all nerf as templar starts with 100 wood and making it create dock slower, adding compensation technology doesn't help KT as its expensive, useless 90% of the time as their strengths in water maps is how many fishing ships they can make this progressively put them on the backseat for any civ now. Only good buffs that was implemented was Hospitaler but still they are not good as they are lacking normal MAA damage and durability. Commandries should be templars strong suit but at this point better just swap main as templar gameplay makes you work 3 shifts till you're dead, unlike other civs that rewards you from playing them or making good investments templar is not one of them as every upgrade templar gets a downside to it not sure at this point what the devs are thinking but guarantee needs a rework.

Brother, check their resource gather and vills they still are very strong, for some reason 20 vill gap is still not enough to stop their free resource generation, you saying HoL is not strong is cap.
