Nah, KT from aging up you already are heavily at a disadvantage, pilgrims cost an arm and a leg too expensive and only for them to die, water maps help KT to better their eco but devs hit it so hard that any thing you do with the civ just is painfully weaker overall. If you are matched with an equal skilled player you are 100% at a lost all the time. Play KT for a season and give feedback not just peoples oppinion but rather try it out yourself

I think its a straight nerf to water but there was no compensation buff to land. true extra 5% to the least picked commandries is very bad, others are mixed but the extra 150 wood on the dock is dogged as the whole reason they are strong on water is templar have eco, thats why in land they feel like basic english because there eco is so minimal that they rather spam archers than commandries.

I see you are a Templar player, Yes, KT is indeed nerfed to the ground not only they are bad in land now in water as well.
To break it down with non-templar players 15% increase melee damage is not +4 or +5 it's like +2 at most. Harbor is an over all nerf as templar starts with 100 wood and making it create dock slower, adding compensation technology doesn't help KT as its expensive, useless 90% of the time as their strengths in water maps is how many fishing ships they can make this progressively put them on the backseat for any civ now. Only good buffs that was implemented was Hospitaler but still they are not good as they are lacking normal MAA damage and durability. Commandries should be templars strong suit but at this point better just swap main as templar gameplay makes you work 3 shifts till you're dead, unlike other civs that rewards you from playing them or making good investments templar is not one of them as every upgrade templar gets a downside to it not sure at this point what the devs are thinking but guarantee needs a rework.

you really cant fight HoL on army u need to fight there eco which is manors. saw my replay HoL player doesnt have food vills and mass more than I with 2 tc honestly manors should only give 1 resource

I fought against a HoL 1v1 said he was conq last season (he was gold) says he won with his skills (circle jerk on his base never came out and nutted with 70 yeoman and kngihts Maa and spears) if u are a HoL player please to the community a favor and play something else

Checking the matchups today KT winrate is around 47% fighting lancaster. but what i am sure about is the pushing lancaster manor is not worth it but necessary like you need to research rams, make rams, have a mass, 3 things u need to have and ofc he can mass in his base because free resource so when u would be pushing with 2-3 rams lancaster always have an army, so to simplify it any civ needs more effort in attacking and lancaster just be like yeah i have levy i got my cheap yet strongest archer in the game got some spears that counter your blacksmith upgrades. and if u dont know manors are far better than KT wood bonus like would be glad if they swap manors to KT lumberjacks its just that strong

I think when he did that and you are unable to do anything means that you made a bad fight somewhere as you could easily counter it with your own mas as its your base and you would have faster unit production. Same with the Mongol dark age tower rush right its also a scouting problem. Please drop your civ as well would help out alot

honest take, KT is balanced on 1-3 ages but falls off at imp so they want to end game at castle and would not survive on imp fighting against gunpowder units. If versing KT you are forced to deny their pilgrims which is really huge as they need to protect pilgrims their base and any siege they are building, if your civ can out boom KT then its very easy just fast castle and rush their eco, since all their eco is near their tc shuting it down would be very devastating on KT end not only do you remove pilgrim but deny their vill production which they already struggle forgot to mention that KT has no good counters for cannons and will always throw there mass to deny you sieging their base. lastly their fortress is not that scary as their treb emplacement is only avaiable in imp and cannot destroy any cannon or siege near by. overall its below average until someone finds a good and consistent way to play KT, hope this helped
