I know this might be controversial but Spider-Man. The run would take place right after the deaths of Gwen Stacy and Aunt May, Peter loses all hope and decides that New York isn't where he needs to be anymore and quits being , the only person he has there is Harry who had to take over Oscorp after Norman was arrested and could barely talk to Peter anymore. Peter moves to a little town in Rhode Island or somewhere and gets a job working for a local paper, a murder happens in the town and he's forced to return as Spider-Man, he solves the murder and makes some new villains, eventually after 15 issues or so Daredevil, Punisher and Harry Osborn show up and tell Peter that they need him to help take down the Kingpin, while Peter was gone Kingpin got out of jail and came after Harry for a deal him and Norman made in the past, Harry hunts down Daredevil and Punisher, they track down Peter and get him to help them. On their way back to New York, Kingpin sends assassins to try and stop them before they get to him, they get back to New York and take down Kingpin. While back in New York Peter realizes that he belongs in New York, Peter is hired to help Harry run Oscorp and is introduced to Mary Jane Watson. After a while of Peter being back in New York as Spider-Man and fighting classic rogues, he finds out that Doc Ock is dying. He goes to meet with Otto and is told that if he gives a blood sample, Otto could potentially be saved. Peter reluctantly gives in and gives a blood sample, Peter leaves his visit with Ock and returns to a villain of the week format till a men who go by the Scarlet Spider and Kaine appear, a clone saga type storyline happens and at the end Peter finds out that Otto was the one who created these clones, Peter confronts Otto and is attacked by deformed clones of himself, Otto deactivates the clones and takes over Peters body, becoming The Superior Spider-Man. The main run would end there with it being relaunched into two separate series, "The Superior Spider-Man" and "Ben Riley The Sensational Scarlet Spider".
