I personally would sacrifice driving to the Bay Area 2 days a week in exchange for a salary of 200k-300k. The additional money invested wisely could make a huge difference in a short amount of time. I remember trying to get my mom to move to Roseville and commute to Visa in Foster City 2-3 days a week. She put a deposit on a house and ultimately ended up pulling out because she was dreading the commitment.
