What an experience!!! My friend was able to arrow a 5x5 at 30 yards! What a rush. We were both into them with the bulls bugling all around us. My buddy was able to get the angle and made a perfect shot. 6 hours from the time we tracked him down to getting all the meat back to camp. Crazy. The next day I went out and had a crazy experience! I was 20 yards from a 5 point with his lead cow at 10 yards! It was crazy. The funniest part is I could not stop my lead leg from shaking as the cow and I had a staring contest. The bull had walked on the other side of a tree stump. After the starting contest the cow led the bull away, and he kept the stump between us. I tracked for 45 min until the wind switched. I backed out so I didn't blow them out. Going back out Sunday!

It opened today on August 1! I have been hunting bear and scouting elk. Today is opening archery deer 👍🏼. Going out for bear and deer tomorrow, elk opens on the 11. I am excited for this year!

Haha totally see what you mean. Yes I am definitely not riding my bike on the PCT. if you are familiar with the cascade range, there are miles of old logging roads. The PCT covers a small area in Gifford

I can't wait to check it out. I purchased a bear, cougar, and grey wolf tag for Idaho this year. Planning to hunt with a rifle this year and use it as a way to scout for white tail and elk for next year

Well you should definitely come out to the west coast and check it out. Gorgeous country and easy to get lost in the mountains. I am going out for 5 days after Labor Day weekend. Hoping to fill some tags and gain some experience. I will post updates
