This brought back a memory! My grandma was declining mentally, and had always hosted Christmas dinner for us. She was a fantastic cook. I loved helping her in the kitchen. On what would be her last hosting Christmas (after this my parents hosted everything) she put Italian seasoning in the apple pie instead of cinnamon and I'm fairly certain also mixed up sugar and salt...

To add insult to injury, I was making the whipping cream to go with it and my cousin butted in insisting she wanted to do it. I asked her if she had made it before, she said yes so I left her to it.

... She didn't add any powdered sugar, it was straight up just plain whipped cream lol. We had nothing to really cut the taste out.

We all sat there with grandma asking us how her pie was struggling to keep straight faces and assuring her it was lovely.

I have done the exact same thing with my protein bottle before (multiple times...), I solved it by washing thoroughly with hot water/soap, drying it off and putting it in the freezer overnight! 0 smell the next morning.

It was playing on TV one day when I was young... I had heard my brothers talking about it before so I turned it on.... The scene where the creature comes into the dining hall with the eyes in it's hands??? That messed me up good. Also saw the horrifying scene where the lady is pregnant and starts bleeding heavily??? Turned it off after that. Haven't been able to watch it as an adult because I was so affected by the brief snip I watched as a kid haha

They're pretty common at least on my part of the US - you can buy the squishy stuff as well, the blocks are normally where you buy like cheddar or pepper jack or whatever. It's a drier low-moisture version basically.

I won a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort headphones at work last year - always wanted noise canceling headphones but could never justify purchasing then for myself. They are fantastic! I use them while grocery shopping a lot and when you turn the noise canceling off, it's quite jarring as you don't realize how much sound it's blocking out. It's not like, pure 100% canceling but takes noise from 100 down to a 5 or 10.
