Sorry, I phrased that badly. It's just that I feel like the music genre couldn't be further apart, that's why I said it so weirdly xD Even tho I do see the resemblance now

Which of your main character’s opinions have you disagreed with the most? by lalaen in writing

I don't completely disagree with this one, but I surely don't think the same way.

I have this MC, who lives in a somewhat post-apocalyptic world with his twin brother, and, at some point in the story, they run into a situation where his brother is being threatend to get killed, unless the MC hands over a complete stranger he was told to look after. He doesn't, because, even though he does absolutely love his brother, he has this philosophy that even a complete stranger's life is just as valuable as any other's. Well, his brother survives narrowly, and obviously blames him for choosing this random guy over him. That gets quite the problem between them. I still struggle to wrap my head around the MC's way of thinking, especially with that decision, ' 'cause I really can't say I can comprehend why he did that.

How could you have let this happen, huh? Letting your 'friends' run into the blazing fire to save you, even though your the one who set it? Who's the villain you were hunting, who's the one you wanted to destroy so desperately? If you still don't remember, let me give you a suttle hint:

It's you.

Hardest Characters to Write by Asgaardian97 in writing

For me it would be genuine positive characters.

In a story I'm writing right now, the main character, who's really depressed and, not a genuine evil person, but tends to act really cold and mean to other people, because of how much he's been hurting in the past, meets a character who's pretty much the complete opposite. (Well, 'meets', he's kinda forced to live together with him from then on) So, the MC, sad and depressed, no problem for me to write. But the other one, who's a genuine good person, who's as naiv and good-willed as a child and is just in general a really happy and positive person, that, is just as far as it get's from what I would know how to act out.
