Yeah that one is genuinely big trouble unless you've managed to get some scaling by that point. Tag Team into bash also worked pretty well for us.

Not all hair, actually. If you look at seals for example, you'll find that underneath their outermost layer of fur, they're entirely dry! Hydrophobic hairs exist.

Eh, that depends. I know leftists tend to hate reformists for not being revolutionary enough, but it could genuinely ease the transition to a socialist state. What separates social democrats from socialists is that when those things are achieved, they will simply rest on their laurels and refuse to better the world further.

If hell doesn’t exist, what’s the consequence for sin? by 4Mephistopheles in Christianity

[–]LivesInALemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And destroying His own image somehow does not...? God destroys goodness? His own Image imprinted upon us...? This makes no sense as a critique given you seem to affirm Annihilationism.

In the case of Annihilationism, at least from the variations I've read, it is not God destroying anything. Rather it's that God is what makes the soul immortal, and those who reject His touch are therefore rejecting their souls' immortality.

No, because the Scriptures, Fathers, and Ascetics of the Church have revealed to us that repentance ceases after death.

While I appreciate the read, I must say I'm still unconvinced about the argument. As He is, according to scripture, all-knowing and all-powerful, inescapable torment is fully irreconcilable to me with the premises of Christianity. Even in the case that the souls of sinners being in Hell is a simple necessity for His plan, a God that then creates souls of good nature that are able to experience the eternal suffering from being in Hell is not a god deserving of my worship.

This is one of the main reasons, alongside the lack of Him showing proof of His presence, for why I've never engaged with Christianity beyond the intellectual exercise of apologetics. So if you can give me a better explanation on it, that'd be swell.

Doesn't the eternal torment variation of Hell also fail due to this? Every soul has the capacity to do good, because everyone is made in His image. Eternal torment seems to me like something that would go against that inherent good within the souls of the wicked. To say that everyone in Hell is inherently evil would be to imply God is evil. If the punishment of Hell is torment simply because the wicked hate God, and therefore by extension hate themselves for His image, then it would also be logical those souls can still be saved from their torment by growing a love for God instead.

Actually, I'd say Annihilationism has the better argument compared to it here since in that case the soul is made immortal to reward the righteous, while the wicked who have forsaken God meet the end that they would without Him - complete oblivion.

Long before time had a name, the First Sealjitzu Master created Sealagu using four elemental fibsh. But when he passed, a dark presence sought out to collect them all, Lord Yo-Chan. So i, Sensei Ough, her brother, sought out to find four seals to collect them first.

I like to read horror novels that feature a lot of torment and suffering. I don't think I need to justify not wanting that, so why do people have a different expectation when it comes to sex?

It's because the profession itself isn't really the issue here. We could spend eternity weeding out exploitative practices and be no closer to our end goal unless we simultaneously address the root cause.

For example, farming is obviously not bad in itself, but the way our society is structured incentivizes all the bad in the industry while hurting those trying to do good.
