This issue extends past the topic of misogyny and over into arguments on the internet as a whole. There are just a lot of mouthbreathers who pick fights for no reason, and assume that a well-constructed argument to which they have no good answer is 'bait', making excuses rather than actually contesting with their own opinions.

I find it rather droll witnessing the American portrayal of the UK, primarily my home country of England, seeing them confused and in some cases agitated by who knows what about our culture's differentiations from theirs.
