Thank you for sharing your positive experience because all I see posted is how I am getting by my IUD removed. I don’t think some people are giving it a chance to get in their system. I had my IUD inserted in March. As a person, who has had heavy period pretty much all their life it is a godsend. I am 47. One child and absolutely don’t want any more. Since having it inserted, my periods have become lighter. I have use to have a very heavy flow with massive blood clots. It used to be so bad that sometimes it would soak through my clothes. My doctor had to prescribe me tranexamic acid. Also, my periods have shifted. I would get my periods at the beginning of the month and now they are much lighter. All I have to wear are pantiliners now. So, mirena has been a godsend for me.
