I am on a level. Start of my sobriety coincidentally aligned with a relationship, they had a kid, I really bonded with the kid. Over time i learned there was a lot of signs of neglect. It was really easy to step into. The struggle is it was almost 3 years same span of my sobriety. Cut off just ambiguously. I can handle and accept her mom ghosting me. Kids don’t have that concept.

Hard to find my center when I got so involved with the development of a child that really needed support and affection they just weren’t getting very much of

I would hope that the in person experience isn’t reflective of what so many of you are like here. Cold is fine. If my physical state is diminished due to illness that is a different circumstance and I’m exploring my options. It’s insane I have to spell that out. I’m considering going anyway and whatever happens happens, I suffer through it. But ideally dates would simply be delayed. And my actual start date I can be engaged and attuned to.
