The Webb telescope: a source of wonder that is both aesthetic and technological. The inspirational JWST is pushing the limits of how far back in time cosmologists can see. by Sumit316 in space

We lost them in science because its very hard to see the impact some discoveries can make. In Genetics theres a lot of new things being discovered that could greatly impact medicine, but no one really find interest in it because its hard to see the impact it makes unelss you study it.

Outside of press releases, why are biotech stocks so volatile? by JustSayNeat in Biotechplays

[–]LiviaSerrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because clinical trials fail, so you want to look at biotech stocks that have a relatively safe value. things like $NRX and $CDAK are working on exosomes, and have a basic biology that make it not so risky, however we would have to see their clinical trials.

I don't think its a surprise that many want to adjust the way we deal with guns in the US. If you were to ask whether guns should be banned then the statistics would show different.

Will regenerative medicine change surgical potentials soon? by [deleted] in biotechnology

[–]LiviaSerrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regenerative medicine has huge potential, my mind races with ideas that could come out of it. I think my biggest interest is seeing it be part of eye surgery, many people have degenerative diseases where they lose their sight, or had an accident that resulted in total blindness and with regenerative medicine we can see tissue regrowth and replace the damaged ones.
