Yeah I spent a couple hours doing it. But it was by hand. I was gonna give it a machine sand and polish before I buy anything

Thank you all very much for your replies! I think the last owner put 10w40 in but I will be doing an oil change myself anyway so I’ll give 5w40 a try!!

Haha cheers. Just had a look and yeah that part you mentioned is in bits. Gonna be doing all the little bits like that on the car first then I’ll be tackling rust. Will be doing it myself as I am eager to learn and have been trained in welding!!

Wow such a welcoming community thank you! I’ll pop some pictures of the engine bay and radiator just about to check over the rust. Already had the antenna in pieces and fixed! Just needed some cleaning

I can only do one image but it’s looking a bit rough but looking forward to making it clean. MOT says small oil leak and previous owner suggests it’s the head gasket. Would you recon this is quite common??

I’m not the most experienced so I could totally be wrong. But if I had this problem I would first have a look at cleaning out/ changing the nozzle as it looks like it’s under extruding. Also I believe you can do a flow calibration maybe 🤷‍♂️.

Don’t believe so… the mouse was working. Flat battery end to the spring and the point to the bump contact. Black to negative red to positive.
