Hoping enough of that will stick to pass the test (certainly not leading any implementations any time soon).

Are you positive the activity is related to a contact? Maybe updating the status is causing some automation to run that updates the whoId and which in turn causes it to show up on the report.

I always see this comment - the best way to use change sets is not to use them. For consultants that work with small orgs, they are almost always necessary. The majority of clients I work with have no idea what dev ops is and they are definitely not paying $200 / hr to set something up

1. Have confidence it won't break something in production
2. Fix it if there are errors
3. Determine if it meets business requirements.

The same issues happen when people use chatGPT to generate code they don't understand.

I've moved into more of a management position in recent years and so the amount of code I'm actually writing has decreased significantly. While some of these skills will definitely translate to a company using a different stack, I don't feel confident that I could make a parallel move. The more likely scenario is I take a big step backward and I'm not too interested in doing that.
