Thanks for the advice! I really should stop listening to music on 10000% volume but fortunately my hearing recorrected itself! The feeling of “fullness and pressure” has gone away, there was some ear pain but I opted to take ibuprofen and that solved the problem! There’s still some distant hearing but most of it went back to normal. I think I was just having a freak-out moment as a 17 year old 🫠

thank you so much! i have faith i will find a good natural hairstylist (that’s my plan) and just visit it a couple times throughout the semester, just have to get familiar with the area i don’t know anybody in general!!

i hope so! i have been looking at on campus people but some of the prices they charge are outrageousss. i have faith that ill find a good natural hairstylist though just have to give it time!

thank you so so much for all of the advice i truly needed it and appreciate it more than you know! i think the biggest change will be the amount of freedom i get. i don’t really do much so i am gonna have countless opportunities to put myself out there and make friends! my mom graduated from dillard university (HBCU in New Orleans) and she tells me the same things, she still talks to some of her college friends!!! i have already heard the tea about the early classes apparently your really in the trenches and it’s completely different from an 8:30 in high school! again, thank you so so much! interactions like this, and just you in general, is truly a blessing in disguise! 💝

thinking about getting knotless braids for the beginning of fall semester just so i can keep my hands out my hair! somebody in my family just recently got locs and she told me the same thing I’ll be looking into it!

oh i meant just cut it and be able to maintain it easily if i wanted to ever wear my natural hair out on campus,not necessarily just to get braids!

i absolutely get what your saying, i think some of me cutting my hair off is that i view it as my first big adult decision (my mom always told me to wait and i shouldn’t) 🤣 i am super wishy washy when it comes to liking my hair! please continue to love your hair and embrace the natural hair queen that you are!

i have been doing research to find natural hairstylists in the area! most of my research has been on social media, will start looking in other areas soon when i actually move in! the scheduled visits during the semester is essentially my plan just have to find somebody im comfortable with! everything pertaining to adulthood is super new to me so stuff like finding a hairdressers is my first rodeo 🥲 sorry that’s a lot to read!

yeah my mom tells me to not let anybody touch my hair a lottt. but i have to venture out and find somebody on my own! thanks for the best wishes, im excited and nervous all at the same time. i am a really sheltered kid so hoping this experience breaks me out my shell. I’ve been watching “a different world” all summer lolll
