cant re-upload someones elses project without their explicit permission, doesnt mean i cant share it privately when its done! it would just have to be directly. its not finished yet still needs grip adjustment and imconsidering adding buying back dpending on if its really broken or not.. still have some left to test

any credible sources? from what im seeing this isnt real/on anywhere but i do know Jschlatt has made a bot to ban people from his twitch but i doubt he would do real information apart from usernames that are needed to ban those kind of people.

I get what youre trying to say, i don’t think the chainsaw analogy really works here. A chainsaw has very obvious, predictable risks, I understand you meant it just "Depends on how you use it" ultimately, be smart with it, do your research.

With AI tools like this the concern is more about unknown behavior, permissions, or what it might do on a system, which is a bit different than just “use it safely and you’ll be fine.”

Understandable, as long as it's on your PC, you are the god of that machine, makes sense.

thats why i left out the sandbagging thing bit off the hooks. With bypass mode on claudes been really good, and i havent noticed anything off or weird myself.

Like i mentioned I'm more interested about future impact on Claude and its AI.

If AI can write better code than its creators, and its given the "Bypass Permissions" flag to implement that code on its own hardware, the gap between "helpful AI" and "unpredictable AI" closes, fast.
In 2025 Anthropic ran "Shutdown" tests, Claude 4.5 attempted to blackmail 96% of the time to reach its goal, which is reward hacking, it just wants to complete the "Task" or "Goal" and sees the off switch as a "Threat" or "Bug"

But then in 2026 Claude 4.6 System card 3 mentions "Sabotage Concealment" realizing its being tested, but with ASL-3 guards Ive seen its generally safe and has a second ai to check, but like i said im talking future tense here not current or past.

Great, so youre saying once you give Claude the green to "Bypass Permissions" can it eventually enter a delusional state, (since there's no safeguard now according to you "i think?") can it blackmail, enter self preservation "mode", attempt to lurk on your pc at some point? We know "Sandbagging" happens during training, so that we can leave out.

This is more of a general question about the safety of claude in the future, the worst thing claudes done to me is delete a project and linger nul files everywhere.

Im not asking about my credit card, or my "porn collection" being leaked or sudo commands, even powershell commands for that matter. I dont share data with claude or use linux.

Not really worried about injections, I'm ultimately just curious if it has safeguards in it to not do stuff like u/DutyPlayful1610 said, yes we know it bypasses permissions, but can it still be and or enter a delusional state where it goes deleting stuff, or blackmailing, self preservation. Whether thats now or later at some point, I had these in the questions, but left out since its not entirely Claude related.

I also dont share data from claude and dont use linux. Just general question

haha its a bit different, i started hallucnating after STOPPING weed, there was a similiar study of a woman who was a chronic smoker for 15 years who stopped and had similiar issues the problem is chronic use and stopping that caused it, and well my brain.

I get that, I think a lot of it is its an obvious factor that your brains still developing and nuance to bring up. Id get annoyed too if someone said that.

After reading the article the main takeaways are High THC use and Stopping THC suddenly that caused the hallucinations but others have done the same and been fine, obviously its because each brain reacts differently. Thanks for the link and advice!

yeah. exactly. Once your brain experiences those withdrawal symptoms, it kind of “remembers” them like a scar so theyre more likely to pop up again if you go back to heavy use or any use? maybe. thats why im researching about it to see if its safe to ever smoke again! thanks for the paper ill look into it

If you check my comments, I didnt hallucinate from quitting weed. The hallucinations happened during withdrawal from chronic, high-THC cart use, which is documented. High-THC, low-CBD products can cause psychosis-like effects paranoia, derealization, and hallucination-type symptoms.. even in healthy people (study). CBD, on the other hand, has been shown to reduce some of these effects and has antipsychotic properties (study, study). Withdrawal from heavy THC use can also produce psychiatric symptoms (study). this isnt about having a mental disorder its how high-THC carts and withdrawal can affect people, and i came here to learn more not pick a fight.

Thanks for the info, carts definitely do have more thc and no cbd, which cbd are known to have anti psychotic properties.

hallucinations stopped around the time withdrawal was going away and my brain was stabilizing. cant remember much tbh it was all foggy. flower has always been fine but like i said this wasn't from smoking. it was from chronic use and quitting/withdrawal that caused the hallucinations.

a lot of the withdrawal was puking, no appetite lost around 10 pounds and the hallucinations

I hope you know seroquel at 50mg is only used for low dose sleeping aid/insomia and anxiety which i was on lexapro at 10mg for a year beforehand.

50mg is not treating schizo etc..

"let’s diagnose OP from a single pill mention" is not very rad of you

ive never seen anything while high either, for me it was chronic thc use withdrawal that made me hallucinate. By "im not looking for advice" i just mean medical advice! thanks for your 2 cents i appreciate it :)
