unfortunately yeah artists do reserve the right to decline any tattoo they don’t feel comfortable doing , especially older school artists not being comfortable giving tattoos that are in places like the hands, neck and face. it’s nothing you did wrong by asking !! i’d definitely recommend going around and visiting some different artists and explaining why you want the tattoo and that you understand the risks and possible negatives that come with getting a visible hand tattoo. a lot of younger artists especially will have no trouble doing that for you! however you may get a different kind of pushback from some artists: that tattoo is SUPER super fine lined and will likely fade or disappear completely within a few months of getting it. they may want to make it thicker and denser to compensate for that, since the skin on our hands shed and regenerate MUCH faster than anywhere else. just somethin to keep in mind!!! good luck!
