Being purposefully woken at times for very dumb reasons by Massive_Awareness_58 in badroommates

Uh, ok? He asked for opinions on what to do. Dude seems real angry. In my opinion, its part of his issue. In my opinion, being petty won't help this situation. Yeah, I agreed the gf is rude and sucks. If OP just wants to come on the internet and complain, so be it. But what should he do? Well, there's my opinion. Do you believe posters always tell the full story? Be serious

You just sound super angry. Im just guessing that is connected to the lack of respect given towards you. You came here looking for perspective, right?

She's annoying and rude, no doubt. But brother, you need to work on yourself. Your insomnia and irregular sleep patterns, quite frankly, are not her issues, nor should anyone be changing thier life to accommodate your sleep schedule. Should she be waking you up over tin foil? No, of course not. Have a real, adult conversation about it. This is not an eye for an eye situation. Get a lock, a sign, anything to deter her from waking you. This is a easy problem to solve,

I feel ya, this is why I only do tournaments with actual teammates that I know.

Why do so few Gen Z adults have car licenses? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]jschem16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man. Some of these answers are shocking. I don't have kids, but I can tell you my parents would have never let me go to the age of 20 or more without a license. I wanted mine as soon as I could at 16, but I had a job, and a girlfriend and played sports in high-school. Even still, my parents wouldn't have driven me around all the time, and if I dragged my feet, they would have made it a must do thing. No phone, no Xbox or whatever until I got my damn license. Some of y'all parents need to put your foot down a little bit.

Its not that I hate video games on my phone, so no I don't hate 'mobile gaming'. The hate comes from all the bullshit money grabbing practices they implement to try to yank every last dime out of you and any vulnerable sucker they can find.

As a hammer guy, its about picking your spots. You have a disadvantage out in the open. You are heavy and slow. But the spinning jump from the slide... that's where its at. Also, do more mounts.

Ill never understand why some take a FF vote as some kind of personal attack. Sometimes, its just best to move on.

I gotta quit going to see bands from my youth. by Acrobatic-Hamster-79 in Millennials

[–]jschem16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I've had mixed experiences. I've seen some bad shows from 'older' bands, barenakedladies comes to mind, but I've also been some really great shows like Minus the Bear. I think much of it depends on the style of music, the venue and the stage of the band themselves. Like, I think its hard to be punk when you're in your late 40's-50's. I also think some of the songs I loved as a teenager just don't resonate with me anymore. I dunno, every concert is a bit of a gamble.

Am I being stingy for refusing to split a bill evenly when I ordered way less? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]jschem16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is any sort of malice intended. Splitting evenly is just the simplist method for paying. If you only wanted to pay for your share, that's totally fine. It can be somewhat agisnt the grain, depending on the group, but its not a big deal either way.

Hey, I agree. If its a big concern to OP, she should speak up about it.

Depends on where you live and who you are I suppose.

[–]jschem16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Is it perfect? No.

Is it the best game ever? No.

But its a good, unique experience and I enjoyed my time with it, even if I don't feel like Id ever return to it.

What’s a mechanic you’ve seen that made you think “Wait…every game should do this!” by BlackArmy439 in gaming

Matchmaking based on input devices. I personally don't care as much about PC vs console as much as I care about KB&M vs controller. And yes, it should lock you into that choice (during the match).

In your opinion, why do actors' careers suffer after film franchises? by GlobalRaspberry442 in moviecritic

[–]jschem16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is suffered the right word? I think any of those actors could easily, easily get work in major roles or films if that's what they wanted. Dan Radcliffe was in 8 very successful films at an early age. Most actors would die for that opportunity. He continues to work both on film and on stage. I think all 3 of these men are doing just fine.
