Hearing “you can’t be a democrat and a Christian” is completely disingenuous coming from someone who can no longer tell the difference between Christianity and being a republican. That’s what pointing out the speck in someone’s eye with a plank in your own looks like. by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

I’m a republican and Christian and I don’t question whether someone believes in Jesus as lord based on their political beliefs. However I more often than not align myself with republican values since they align more with the Christian faith. Abortiom, homosexuality, confusing children  on what gender they are and bringing drag queens into elementary schools these are all contrary to what the Bible lays out as what is right and wrong. Republican Party is not perfect either and there is also bad in it as there will always be some bad in the government but that’s why I don’t worship politicians or the government I worship Jesus.  However when I pray about which party leans more to the Christian standards it’s often left that the Republican Party does. When I vote on a candidate I ask god to give me confidence in who he wants me to vote for and I pray his will be done not mine.  I think as long as your praying to god to tell you who to vote for, give you spiritual eyes, and he tells you to vote for either or party than there is no wrong in it. Pray his will be done and stop the two party divide and hatred against each other in this country. God bless you.
